Barrel-Aged Fridays

That sounds awesome! Any idea what distro is like for that? Doubt I'll see it in CA

 

Sadly for my waistline, I don't limit trying new beer to just Sunday. I just like to make sure I try something new on Sunday while other days it depends.

 

Massachusetts only, I just happened to be driving through Massachusetts and grabbed some bottles. This is the 3rd one of these they have done, I had the second also. It was outstanding also.

 

Today's selection. It was an extra in a trade. Really enjoying it. It doesn't feel like a sugar bomb compared to other wee heavies barrel aged or not.

Is LSD barrel aged? I know there are some variants on it, but don't know much about it at all.

 

Actually, I don't think it is. For some reason I thought it was, but I don't think so.

Drinking a 2014 BCBS, this goes down so easy. Will pay for this later.

 

I stopped by Horrock's in Lansing tonight after dinner. Griffin Claw had a tap takeover there yesterday and they still had the barrels on tap today. I enjoyed a glass of Flying Buffalo Coffee Imperial Stout tonight. Just the right balance of bourbon notes, stout and coffee. This is easily a top five beer for me. Best of all, I took a growler home with me.

 

I can't even explain why I like this. This bottle is clearly infected. Very tart and smells like cherries, but I am really enjoying it! I've been absolutely disgusted by every other infected beer I've had. Totally dumbfounded right now, but hell, ISO: 15' BCBBW!!

 

Opened up an Uncle Jacobs tonight. Glad they sent some to Wisconsin this year.

 

Ok, ya sucked me in. Barrel aged Friday, fight night Saturday, and Sunday Morning Stout! Perfect combo.

 

Just killed a Lickinghole Creek Coconut Delight, and it was absolutely fantastic.

 

Grateful to have access to this beer regularly, and happy to share with those who don't. Cheers!

Still boozy as all get out, like a shot of bourbon in a glass with a topper of stout!

Double post here and WBAYDN. Very interesting beer! A ton of maple syrup and bourbon up front, with roasty, piney black IPA in the background. Really surprising and delicious!
