I'm going to the Stars game on Friday night and will be at section 105. Do they sell craft beer at the AAC? Where's the best place to grab a beer?
There are 3 BEK craft beer bars, located in the lower concourse only (100 level seats). One is Texas based, one is craft beer based, and I can't recall what the other is. All 3 have legitimate beer selections. Cheers, Chad
They're in the corners of the lower concourses, against the back walls. Often times promo tables are setup for a myriad of things in the same area, so you'll need to be looking for them specifically.
they carry Sierra Nevada pale at almost all the food vendors I noticed last time, that's always a solid go to
went to the moth before a concert recently, its a great spot to grab a couple drinks and head back to the center for the game. You can park at the center and take a cab each way and get there right before it starts. or its about a little over a mile walk
I had dinner and at the Moth last concert I to at the AAC. I did find a stand with Texas beers as others suggested. I had Real Ale most of the night.
http://www.americanairlinescenter.com/food-and-drink/other_bars_and_restaurants.php Just found this page for you. Never knew it exsisted for sure but i think ive only been to the AA center once. I think the UFC in dallas was there, but i cant remember.
Piggybacking off of this, I will be staying at the W right next to American Airlines Center for a night this week. Any suggestions that I can get to within easy walking/cab ride distance. I would love to take home some Jester King, Live Oak and/or Yellow Rose if anyone can recommend a shop as well as bars/eateries...thanks!
Not much in that area for bottle shops, but head over to one of these three bars in the Vicinity: The Common Table, The Gingerman, and Meddlesome Moth. Also be sure to stop by Community Beer Company right across the freeway. This is the best brewery in Dallas, IMO.
It turns out I now have a few hours before my flight on Friday as a meeting got canceled. I have a car, so can drive around a bit, any advice regarding stores to check out, with the exception of Lone Star, which I am already have on the list to drive out to?
I'd recommend Hall's in Colleyville. Not far from DFW, and definitely a good bottle shop. Just make sure you're not trying to purchase on a Sunday or after 9 PM... our liquor laws suck.
Definitely not close to downtown, but this is for @ikaika122 (see post #13). Says he's got time to drive around, and presumably will be flying out of DFW. Hall's is right next to DFW airport.
@zizouandyuki thanks for the advice! Turns out that I scheduled another breakfast meeting on the day I was flying out so didn't get to hit the spots. I was glad that AA center had craft beers from deep Ellen and karbach though, so it wasn't a total loss. Hopefully I'll get back to Dallas again as I liked the city, lots of building and growth going on which is great to be around. Also, it seems as if I'm a bad luck charm for the Stars as they got hammered by the Jets 6-3... Go Hawks
