    Made me laugh...

At least buffalo wild wings has some quality beers on tap, unlike many other chains.

    Great commercial!!!

Haven't been to BW3 (can we still call it that without the weck?) in a long time. The wings are pretty pitiful, which is sad since I do like the sauces. The beer selection was also never good enough to keep me interested either.

so not universally good selection huh? The one i went to had a solid line-up of offerings with several local seasonals...not quite craft beer bar selection, but way better than chile's or applebees
Actually liked the wall of taps at the homebrewer's house. :grinning: I'm figuring they had to have a homebrewer in marketing who sold the idea...the ridicule was too close to home for it not to be. Don't Fear the Foam

I hate to sound humorless, but I didn't see anything in that commercial that hit anywhere close to home. Well, I do have a beard, and I do use Star San (which doesn't bubble out of the fermenter) but that's about it.

I felt the same. tasting foam? Beer will be ready in a few minutes? sounds like someone who is a home brewer had a funny idea, then the marketing team took over.

I enjoyed the commercial. If this was done true to the knowledge of a homebrewer, a much larger group of people would not even start to understand the "joke". I think it hit on a couple of things that I actually find funny that people do in homebrewing...like putting crazy shit in beer and over obsessing over it (the foam joke).

I also think part of it is that there are also a lot of BAD home-brews & homebrewers out there.

I think there are also a lot of BAD restaurant chains out there with crappy draft beer lists and freezer-to-plate food. If you're offended, you're probably just not getting the joke.

Who is offended? Just explaining why I enjoyed the humor.

FWIW, my opinion of BWW from above:

We're cool, man. I particularly liked the way you put the word "joke" in quotation marks. We're cool!

Just making sure, you seemed a touch offended as well...but it is very hard to portray emotion when writing in "font family".

Not universal. The new BWW near my house has nothing but BMC on tap, but others I have seen have some decent offerings.

I actually watched it again, and then read the comment...holy shit, do people really get this pissed off? That might be the funniest part of it all.

Exactimundo. I don't know how many times I've given some of my beer to somebody and had them say, "this is awesome, doesn't taste at all like homebrew!" It seems like there might be more than a few guys out there brewing crappy beers with weird ingredients and forcing them on their friends.

Still didn't seem very funny to me, but, whatever.

I was just amused by how over the top insane it was... My $.02 is that too many people do canned kits with added sugar with no temp control and of course it doesn't taste like a commercial beer hence the "I doesn't taste like homebrew".

Im sure some people get mad but I aint even mad. The only thing I am mad about is the BWW near my house havinga weak beer selection. The BJ's near me blows them out of the water.

hahaha...that would piss me off too. Too bad, here i thought that having quality craft beer was part of their MO...oh well.
