SNPA was the first craft beer I had ever had. I was 19 and on a steady diet of domestic crap, so of course I hated it. It was a while until I finally came to my senses. But now I agree that SN brews some quality beers. PA, Tumbler and Torpedo are all solid brews. Just finished off a 6 pack of Summerfest and it was good. And I can't wait for their Celebration each year- it's one of the reasons I can tolerate winter!

I'll jump into the pool. I found a Beer Camp pack later in the season last year. Had never heard of these particular packs. Was blown away and immediately went back to the same store to get one more. The Juniper Black Ale is probably my fave SN beer of all time. And seriously, nothing beats Torpedo in a can on the golf course.

There was a thread in the forums about how SN runs their brewery, from the energy conservation, recycling, to the organic farming. This only boosted my respect for what they do and makes me proud to purchase their beer as a tip of the cap for job well done.

    Cheers

Honestly my favorite brewery. I love the quality and consistently of all their brews. I count the days to when I see Celebration shows up on the shelves!

OP took the words out of my mouth. Sierra Nevada is by far my favorite "big brewery." Only difference for me is that Kellerweis (for a Hefe) absolutely knocks my socks off. But for a company that makes a whole lot of beer at one time, they make great stuff and I've never ever been disappointed.

Mid-90's, another "good beer" drinker and I were sitting around the shop at (avoiding) work discussing beer one day and I mentioned that a local store just got in its supply of Bigfoot. We no doubt went on and on about it's greatness.

The next day, again sitting in the shop at shift change and another guy walks in, plops a paper bag in my lap and says, "Here. It's yours..." Open the bag and it's a 5-pack of Bigfoot. "What's this for?"

"I listened to you and Tommy rave about that beer yesterday so I stopped in after work and bought a sixpack last night. I don't know how you guys can drink that stuff!"

Now that's a fringe benefit of beer advocacy I could live with easily!

SNPA was my 2nd craft beer [after Anchor Steam] but my first regular ale. Problem is, now that I've discovered a vast selection of craft beers that I also enjoy, I don't have SN as much. But it is comforting to know that wherever I may travel, I'll be able to find a Sierra Nevada beer.

I worked for this brewery and even though the split was weird I still love this brewery more than any other!

Gotta love Sierra Nevada. their consistency, wide distribution and value go uncontested. I don't think I've ever had a beer from them I didn't like and love almost all of them. They definitely get appreciation from this guy.

If I had to limit myself to only one companies beer, it would be SN. Great beer, consistancy, distribution, and price. Love you guys! Keep up the good work.

yea I like it but its near my hoppy limit. I let mine get to about 65f and the malt overpowers the hops more.

LOL Bigfoot might not be the best beer for a BMC drinker to start with.
