2016 New Glarus releases

Yeah I'm happy that it is coming back out, but this does seem like the wrong time of year to release it.

 

Pay attention! This is an El Nino spring. It will feel like summer by the end of March!

 

You forget that we live in Wisconsin.

 

I tend to think of Dancing Man as either a spring or fall beer, because of its 7.2% and its slight clove/spice. For summer I'd go more in the direction of 5.X% hefes.

At any rate--they'll still be great in two months, just buy some and put them under lock and key until June. It can be like on the sitcoms--tell your significant other: "no matter what I say, do not let me have this beer until June. Even if I change my mind tomorrow!" Then hilarity ensues, of course

Plus Ri0 is right, NOAA predicts a much-warmer than average three month outlook for WI!

 

This upcoming warm-up has me thirsty for one beer only. Come on New Glarus, where is my Thumpbrint Berliner? I know I'm a little early, compared to the last two years, but come on. That beer just screams Springtime drinking in the backyard.

 

Hearing about how much better Oud Bruin is this year, compared to the last one, makes me want to bmake the trip to Wisconsin.

 

Could be a long season for them that'll last into summer, too. Seems Coffee Stout/Fat Squirrel were out a lot longer than the typical seasonal cycle for them.

 

Definitely much better this time around.

 

I feel like they've stretch out their seasonals over the last year or so. I assume fewer and longer seasonals is more profitable than the converse.

 

I haven't seen dancing man out on the shelves yet, anyone else?

I'm surprised that they made so little of it that it would be brewery-only. May have to beg one of my cousins in Madison to take a trip down to get it.

 

Maybe it was a small batch, but I suspect they have other motives for making it Brewery Only.
