This all depends on if the number of overall tickets remained the same and how many new people are trying for tickets this year (both variables we don't know). I'm very sure many attendees from last year have lost interest in the new model so at least in theory it's possible tickets will last an extra 3 seconds or so . I know my group is only trying for 2 tickets this year where in prior years it was 4+ and it doesn't sound like that's unique to us.

I believe the high upfront cost will scare off some.

What would be the point of that? You would be wasting additional tickets. You may purchase 2 tickets, both of which have your name on it. So your second ticket is for your guest. Your guest must enter the gate with you at the same time that you enter or they will not let them in. So you get in with your guest and you have 2 more tickets in your name. How do you use those tickets at all? Wasted $400

Wanting to use those additional tickets to get more beer for yourself? Three Floyds is claiming that they have something planned this year to prohibit anyone from going through the lines a second time to get the guest allotment for themselves. So if you planned to use the guest tickets for yourself you are risking losing $200 and getting nothing out of it.

Anyway, the limit is 2 tickets per customer. I am assuming they will cancel any additional tickets purchased (or maybe all of your purchased tickets) if they discover you bought more than 2. Why take these chances?

Correct, but just go to the etix page. It has a countdown.

I'm assuming the page auto-refreshes once the countdown is over and a "buy tickets" button pops up. Last year my friend purchased them, so I'm new to eTix.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think you will need to refresh.

Just curious- what are some of your records for trying to purchase DLD tickets? Let's say you personally and just going to the festival as a guest. On my own I'm 1-1, but I was lucky to have a buddy get me in on my off year.

It would be for tickets for my wife and one of her friends. They actual drink the beer. Thanks for being the moral police, there's not enough of you around here.

Last year was my first year, my buddy and I both tried for 2 group c tickets. Bought tickets no problem. Theirs year I'm going to try for "best available"

What if my wife and I were both interested in going and bringing friends? We use the same credit card, live at the same address, but are two separate people. That probably should be allowed, and I doubt 3F would care about that particular scenario, but I could see the system not liking it.

3-4...My wife and I usually both try on our separate computers as well as our phones. Usually one of them will get in. My laptop has hit twice. My phone, once. This year we'll both try for A on our phones and "Best available" on our computers. Got in on A last year on my phone, I believe.

Just bought tickets off Etix yesterday. It had this exact same countdown timer. The moment it hits 0 the page refreshes and theres a button in place of the timer.

I must have misunderstood the original question. Yes you and your wife can both buy 2 tickets each. As far as I know, they just have to be in different names. My girlfriend and I always buy 2 tickets each using the same address. We use different cards but I doubt that would be an issue. As long as both of your names work with the credit card.

I was just commenting on the idea of trying to buy 2 sets of 2 tickets under the same name, which would probably be a waste of your time and money when you are unable to use them.
