    Hint: I've never been a resident of any of these cities (nor the state). I've visited all of these places on a long trip that I took....there is a hint as to where I went on that trip somewhere on the internet.

    For anyone late to the game, without the time to look through a ton of posts... use this at your own risk.

    Maybe we can get a little more competition here.

    I might've eliminated something illogically... but this is pretty much what I'm going by. Has anyone managed to shrink the list down further? Or do you think that I eliminated something that shouldn't have been?

    Choose 1 from each group and make sure the states are different.
    Lots of combinations still out there. Additionally, there are some other hints that have been dropped that limit some combinations of group 1 and 2... you can look those up yourself.

    Group 1:
    Athens, OH
    Chicago, IL
    Cleveland, OH
    Columbus, OH
    Indianapolis, IN

    Group 2:
    Boston, MA
    Cincinatti, OH
    Denver, CO
    Fort Wayne, IN
    Madison, WI
    Mansfield, OH

    Sioux City, IA

    Group 3:
    Galveston, TX
    Jacksonville, FL
    Virginia Beach, VA

    Group 4:

    Then choose which state the wedding is in that he won't attend: ND, NH, WY, AR, GA, NE.

    I think my hint about where I haven't been a resident could be misconstrued....let me rephrase...

    HINT: I have never been a resident of city 1, 2, 3 or 4. I have also never been a resident of the state which is the answer to number 5. I may or may not have ever been a resident of the states for 1, 2, 3, or 4.

    When he said "never a resident of these cities, nor the state" I assumed he meant that he hadn't lived in the 4 cities (not necessarily the state they were in) and that he hadn't lived in that 5th state that he isn't going to... I think it's still safe to guess cities in OH? Otherwise, yeah, Indianapolis all the way!
