If there's going to be butt hurt irrespective of how BA variants are allocated, that doesn't provide much incentive to 3F to do anything other than FCFS where group A will likely wipe them out of BVDL (was it ~800 bottles of BVDL last year?). A little less than a lot of butt hurt is still a lot of butt hurt.

I think a FCFS is probably a lot worse at the back end of the groups. People in D and E are just getting stuck with the variants that are less desired....and they've all been drinking all day.....has the recipe for a total shitshow IMO. At least if it were random everyone has the same odds.

Personally I don't really care what I get. I'm in Group D. I've won Vanilla twice and Muerte once. I'm cool with whatever. If everyone has that attitude then FCFS is totally fine as a whole.

 

Imagine if they run out of BA DL on group D or E.

 

This would never occur but I think it would be cool for FFF to put the variants in bottles which do not identify the variant and just hand them out randomly pre-bundled as others have mentioned. This way people would only find out what it is when consumed. A nice FU to resellers. Yeah you can't likely trade it either. Oh well boohoo. Drink your beer. I'll go back to my dreamworld now.

 

Realistically, they will probably do the same thing they did last year except every ticket is a winning ticket. I am just stoked that with no GA tickets I will not hear every person who passes, "Wanna sell your variant or a bottle of Dark Lord?". But I do like Jaycase's idea, basically transferring the lottery system from a scratch off ticket to a random bottle of BA DL in a bundle. Sounds fun.

I'm right there with you. I've got a pair of BVDL in my cellar (the only notable items in it), so I don't care too much what I get. I have no interest in selling anything I get. I've definitely given away more DL than I've consumed. And the BVDL is just waiting for a good excuse/bottle share to open.

 

I hear there's a pretty good share in Munster, IN on April 30th if you're interested.

 

How is FFF carryout on Friday? I'd assume sunday is a shitshow so I'm not coming anywhere near but do they make a lot available on that day usually? We are coming in on Friday and either heading into Chicago and hitting up the Beer Temple or going to FFF if the carryout is a good showing.

 

There was definitely a line for the kiosk last year. I want to say we waited close to an hour early Friday evening.

 

Wondering what you guys take on North Entrance vs. South Entrance. Got a B ticket for the second straight year and last year I was definitely not prepared for the awesomeness that ensued. Trying to be far more prepared this year.
