The OC/LA release thread.

picked up a 6 pack from Handy Market in Burbank. canned 2/16. this is probably the freshest FW i've ever seen. maybe their distro is getting better

 

Iron Press gets pretty pricey, kind of ridiculous.

 

Yeah, first time I've had it so I took the bullet. If I had it before I would of passed.

 

Cracked all three of the Modern Times IPA releases from this week. For me booming rollers was my favorite, followed by Orderville which was also fantastic. I will surely be picking up 4 packs of BR throughout the quarter. Might just be me, but Hooloomooloo was the most underwhelming beer that the have canned/bottled. Keep in mind I am a HUGE modern times fan, so my expectations might be a little unfair.

 

Same thoughts, although I haven't tried Floating World yet, that's later today or maybe right now actually. Apricot Fruitlands was the first Fruitlands I've tried since missing out last year and was a little underwhelmed.

 

This year's Citraholic is awesome sauce. Raise your glass for the Citra hop!

Anyone see any Booming Rollers near Newport recently? Tried WF, Bevmo in Costa Mesa, Ralphs, and Hi-Time but nothin'.

 

Not too close, but WF in Aliso has plenty of the new releases and still has City of the Sun

 

Anyone seen FW Sucaba around recently? I had some on tap last night, and enjoyed this year's batch very much! I would like to pick up another bottle or two. I'm looking in the South OC area preferably.

 

They had this at my local BevMo (RSM) this past weekend, along with hooloomooloo, and city of the dead.

 

I saw it at Whole Foods Huntington Beach last week.

 

It's far from you, but TW in northridge still had several cases as of the other day.

 

Historically, they seem to way over allocate these releases to the Valley. I've had lots of good luck getting FW releases at TW out there.

 

Anyone got a line on 3F Oude Geuze sitting anywhere in OC? Many of the bottles of the recent batch were bottled on my birthday (3/11) and I'm trying to scoop up as many as possible.

Lazy Acres is near my gym so I stopped by to try and pick up Booming Rollers last week... guy told me he received it but wouldn't put it out yet until he sold all of his City of the Sun.
