Wild wings homebrewer commercial

    i was kinda that guy 8-10 years ago when Radical Brewing arrived on the scene and i went a bit nutzo. To me it was all in good fun, but i take my homebrewing as a fun hobby and not a full-on life passion.

    Actually, I'm thinking the idea is all marketing from the ground up. With 80% of their drafts coming from AB/InBev and the like, they clearly want to grow their business by attacking craft beer, and homebrewing is a good place to start.

    Mainstream marketing targets mainstream beer drinkers. Big surprise. Wake me up when the Swedish Bikini Team dukes it out with Spudz Mackenzie over whether they prefer Great Tasting to Less Filling. No wait a minute. Wake me up when its all over. Ho hum.

    No shit. It's a pretty funny commercial, obviously to be taken lightly. I mean, how many times have you seen homebrewing in a commercial in your life? That's pretty damn cool if you ask me.

    I'm not offended, but I definitely think they are leaving a bad taste in the mouths of homebrewers with this one. You know, just like their chicken wings.

    I am not sure I quite understood that commercial, or half the responses in this thread, but that homebrew operation looks alot like mine at times...minus the sausage in a glass.

    Went to a work event at the neighborhood BW3 last night, a place I would never go otherwise. Open bar, all you can eat burgers and wings. Glassware was 22 ounce wheat glasses, pint pour. Had a couple SA Boston Lager draft that were fresh and tasty, and a 312 wheat that tasted like keg dregs. The had Guiness and Bass on tapp too. Spied the cooler, lots of green and clear bottles, nothing too special, some Modelo Negro; best one I was was a Shiner Bock.

    Not an ale in the house that I could see other than the Bass.
