Absolutely did... Surly, Town Hall, Dangerous Man, Indeed, and Steel Toe. There aren't enough hours in the day to do it justice... great beer city. Definitely planning another trip for a few days instead of a few hours!

Incredibly friendly group at Toppling Goliath. Pompeii was killer as was King Sue. Beermurph totally gets my vote for a hoppier tomorrow!

Murph is great, as is Clark and Mike and Chad. Lots of great people at TG, they help make the trip worthwhile (alongside the world-class beer :stuck_out_tongue:)

Plenty of 2/11 Sue here in Omaha and it's pretty great for this nicer weather. Always miss Decorah Sue but being able to buy as much of this stuff as I want is a decent trade off.

Just wanted to say... I had pseudo sue a couple of weeks ago and thought it was great, but maybe not quite as good as everyone else thought it was.... Had it again tonight and it really was easily one of the better beers I've had. It really just is that good

I actually haven't seen much around lately, though I haven't been hunting it out. Then again, I'm waiting for CitruSinensis to hit to pick up a few 6-packs...

Owner =/= brewer. Even if a brewery is bringing in over 100K in revenue, its not profit/take home cash. Expenses of materials, equipment, property/building, other employees, etc, etc.

Agree with the general point that the owner of a brewery that decides to stay small can make a respectable living. Maybe even the head brewer too, especially if they have some stake of the ownership. Oftentimes, the brewers at these places are just another employee who is grinding it out and getting a normal paycheck, not a huge one.

Good Point. But depends on if the head brewer and owner are the same person or not. However you are correct.

Did they ever specifically spell out what is in each X-Hops? I know they are random hybrids, but was just curious...

Amarillo, Millennium, Citra and Mosaic. Per Mike's tweet a while back.

To add, Gold is the only one that uses commercial (Is that the right word?) hops. The rest have always been experimental.

Red was HBC 366 which since has been named Equinox and put into "full production" if you will.

I don't remember any other of the x-hops' hops making that transition

Yup. Kind of a totally different beast than the rest of the X-Hops series.

That's awesome. WW Homestead makes the best god damn cheese curds on the planet.

$50 seems a touch steep for a beer and cheese event.
