New to Ohio (2016)

The Reds already have several craft beer stands, what else do you propose that they put in?

 

Beers with abv at 12% it's going to be a long season maybe throw in random kill the keg days I will say they did up their craft game a decent amount though

Seriously though, I was being facetious. They have a great selection, but I will probably have to hit the bourbon bar during all of the pitching changes. I would like to see some Fat heads and Brew Kettle make their way in the gates. I like Truth, but have to admit that I will be jealous of you Wahoos drinking White Rajah>

 

May be Bourbon shortage if they keep that bar open all season...that is if folks actually continue to show up

 

I don't know if pitching changes will be the issue. More like "all those strikeouts".

 

I'm pretty sure white rajah and headhunter have been at Progressive Field for a couple years.

I have seen Head Hunter at GABP, but never Rajah. Then again, I only made it to Opening Day and the All Star game last year (didn't miss much as it turned out)

 

Listermann Brewing in Cincinnati will be releasing their FOBAB medal winning Chickow in Heaven Hill Barrels on Saturday @ 10 am for their 4th anniversary celebration. This will be in 4 packs, price TBD, probably $25 if I had to take a stab at it.

 

Unfortunately might even be more than that. Have a buddy on the chickow league that asked me if I wanted a single bottle. Selling for $7+ per 12oz

 

Hey I will be in the westerville/columbus area for work soon. what are some good bottle shops in the area? Would love to bring back some fat heads, hoof hearted, or even a Jackie O's stout if possible. Thanks.

 

$7.99+tax with a 3 bottle limit for the presale. Came to $25.59 for the 3 bottles.

 

Still better than $19.99 for a bomber, so I can respect that pricing. I am going to try and make it out for the release on Saturday morning, should be able to.

 

Now all they need is attendance to sell the beer.

 

Tribe needs a good product to drive attendance. They also need a good owner who will fund a good product. But I digress...

I'm very happy to see an increase in local craft beer options at stadiums and arenas. We helped drive that.

 

It is a fun atmosphere at Progressive Field. Lots of cool food and drink options. Worth buying the cheap seats and checking it out on a beautiful day!

 

Maybe someone else can give you better info but one place I know of in Columbus is Pace High Carryout.

 

Agreed, I usually skip the craft experience while at a game and go with a domestic tall boy can.

 

I think Ohio sports teams have pretty good selection in food and beer across the board. Went to a game at Wrigley and couldn't of been more disappointed with the options...oh and the weird bathrooms troughs that encouraged weird eye contact.
