    Crazy Bruce's in Bristol got a drop today. Still had some as of half an hour ago. 1 4 pack per person, right on the shelf in the cooler.

    bought my first Pioneer IPA after having being recommended it pretty much every time I ask about Sip in CT... it was a Feb canning date and $10/6 pack of 16oz'ers.
    really smooth & deliciously hoppy IPA, and at that availability & price it's a huge score.

    I had one last night dated 2/16 and it wasn't the same Sip I was used to. The malt was coming through and the unique hop profile was no longer there.

    I agree. the 2/5 version was quite a bit better than 2/16 IMO.

    I think its pretty consistent, and I don't think quality has dropped off. I have found sip falls off a lot faster than other beers. So a 1 week old can vs. a 4 week old can tastes very different to me. For some reason my palate gets thrown off easily with SOS, like if I drink a can of sip, then a julius, both taste great. If I drink a can of sip after any other hop heavy IPA, my taste buds are thrown off and sip never tastes that good. Just my opinion, might be a weird one haha. I probably drink SOS more than any other IPA, so i have noticed all these subtle differences in taste to me.

    I remember thinking the same about the Pioneer IPA a couple months ago, then I bought the next batch out and it was a gloppy mess. Hopefully that bad batch was the exception. Based on your post, I'll give it another whirl...
