Man! It sure seems like a lot of Texans are going this year. As long as I don't get hit in the face with a 10 gallon hat or blinded by the glare of a big belt buckle we're all good...

 

10 Gallon hats are banned unless they are filled with Jester King.

 

It is very possible we could be in the middle of a Blackhawks/Stars playoff series at that point and possibly even a game the same day as DLD...

 

Anyone know of any shuttles or buses departing from the western burbs? I've only seen from Chicago or the south burbs.

 

I mean can you really call it a Series when the Blackhawks will be wiping the rink with the Stars.

Open bottle (its kinda south-westy) has one but the 8:30 departure is already sold out. They have a 12:00 option.

Naperville. Could be wrong, but guessing there has to be a decent number of people going from the western burbs....

 

Im also from Naperville, just had my girlfriend drive and drop me and my friend off last year. This year I am taking the Open Bottle shuttle as I didn't see any better options.

 

Two years ago, I went on a bus that was organized by World of Beer. Last year, the wife dropped me off. Might end up in an Uber this year.

I'm in Geneva and thinking of doing the Reggies bus. Probably hit an early train down and make my way there for one of the first rides.

 

Sounded like that bus broke down last year? Or has before, only reason i was iffy on it.

 

@Wowzors I was on it last year and made it fine (other bus crapped out a mile or so from DLD). had no issues getting back though it is slower but they offer a ton of time slots.

 

Bring some BBH! I was just at Karbach last week during a business trip and got to try the regular, vanilla, and the chocolate variant. Really solid brews (my favorite had to be the vanilla variant). I liked Karbach brews more than Saint Arnold's although that Saint Arnold's brewing facility has the be one of the coolest, if not at the very top, that I've ever been too. Saint Arnold's Endeavor was a tasty DIPA.

Appreciate the heads up... It's 45 minutes to Open Bottle from my house and only 20 minutes farther to get to Three Floyds. Doesn't seem worth it.
