Dark Lord Day 2016

This is the same problem i Had but luckily those twenty minutes saved were enough for the girlfriend to drop us off and still get to work. An Uber in the morning seems risky, I don't know how many there are around that time.

 

If I hear of other options from our area, I will share the info.

 

Are you on the 8:30 shuttle? We'll have to do a mini share on the ride down there.

They're tapping Bomb! at 8 and will be having the same donut truck they had last year. Best maple bacon long john I've ever had. Also the Dark Lord glazed donut sounds like a winner.

My buddies and I will have a tent setup outside the South gate. We are lucky enough to have parking spots in a private lot literally outside of that gate. Anyone is welcome to stop on by.

@Wowzors Yeah I'll be on the 8:30 with one of my good friends (we were on the 8:30 last year too). I'll PM you since people prolly get tired of us talking back and forth on here.

Our group is staying with a guy who was a high school buddy of a good friend of mine...in Naperville. Our host doesn't drink beer but is totally fine with being a DD, so driving there is an option. It's just the parking that's a concern since we'll likely arrive around 11:00. We haven't really decided what to do as far as getting to FFF. We're spread across groups B, D & E, so it's gonna be a long day regardless. I'm a bit paranoid that staying until after group E allocation that ride options will be limited.

We thought about driving to Munster and doing uber to FFF as an option.

 

Yes indeed! Nothing like kicking your DLD off with a 14% brew. My buddy and I had a Speedway stout on the bus ride down. It's all about pacing yourself haha.

Anyone else find it odd/slightly annoying there is still no word on Band lineup? Should be good time, but still bands have been great in years past, hoping for a good lineup again this year

 

I can't imagine not knowing what a long john was before today....

 

Last year the bands weren't announced for a while.

Trying to decide on a shuttle to take to the event. So far I know of the one running from Beer Temple and the one running from Jak's tap. Are there any other options that I should be considering?

Here's a first rumor-mill/speculation of potential Band playing DLD. This label was approved in January. No tour dates Scheduled for At The Gates around April 30th. Coincidence?

 

How far are you willing to walk? Just north of the grounds on Calumet Ave. are a bunch of office buildings that may be 1/2 mile walking distance. Unless someone knows something I don't, I would bet you could park in one of these lots Saturday as no one will be in these lots.

 

This would be amazing if it happened.
