Friday at Sam's: Bells Tap Takeover

    Starting around noon, they'll have Wedding Ale, Batteur, Oracle, Black Note, and at least 2 more!!

    I'm looking for someone to share a pint of Black Note with, since I have to head to class ASAP after drinking it, and a full 16oz is a bit much. I'm going go get there a little before noon, actually. Let me know if you're interested.

    If I were able to go I would be your Huckleberry... Unfortunately, I cannot. I would be going for Batteur myself... Tick tick tick tick.

    Charlotte had their event last night at ducks and the black note and oracle were 8.5oz (guess) pours...roundhouse Ira is really really good. Seek out Hoge from bells and tell him Wolfe said whatup! Enjoy!

    Sam's is too popular and smart for growler fills, I would think. I expect it to be gone pretty quickly, but maybe I'm wrong.

    Please excuse my poor memory, but remind me how we know each other again?

    NC is awesome. Perfect place for grad school IMO.

    Can you confirm this, fehrminator? It's 12:00 according to their calendar, but if it were at 4:00, I could probably swing by.

    EDIT: Their FB page also says "noon sounds about right." Oh well.

    I was at the store yesterday at 6PM, and they said the guy shows up at 10:30 and it should start around 12. If things have changed in the last 18 hours, then you could be roght. But their Facebook and my experience yesterday say noon. So, I'll show up early regardless, and if it's actually at 4 then I'm probably SOL, but have a slim chance I could have a sip or two haha.

    Sam's growler fill days ended years ago. When (rumor has it that) Red Oak ratted them out. I have 2 Sam's growlers that I use for my homebrew.

    I'll be there a bit before noon, drinking Black Notes and then Roundhouses for a while. Probably be wearing a Hair of the Dog shirt, feel free to say hi.

    When they did the Bells takeover last year, they did flights in cheap plastic glasses and then I think pours in the Bells tulip glasses, whatever size those are, and you kept the tulip. If they do it like this again, I'll give away my tulip to anyone who wants it since I have too damn many of them already. Unfortunately, the power probably won't go out for the takeover again this year.
