Did anyone catch this on the beeb last night? Worth a watch?

I've not yet watched it, but I'm curious to see how BrewDog came across. I've not found myself particularly (at all) enamoured with the bosses there (based almost purely on their vomit-worthy cringe-inducing promotional material). Maybe it'll change my mind...

Saw that it was on, but didn't watch it. Might have a look on catch up.

Well... I had a watch last night and I can safely say my opinion certainly hasn't improved!

BrewDog just seem to try SO hard to appear to be "different" and "cool".
I think what summed it up best was when James Watt said taking on any of the candidates for the role would be too much of a risk. This, after stating how important BrewDog's charter is, which includes "We are ambitious. We are relentless. We take risks.".

The charter also includes James' favourite, "We blow shit up".

    Eurgh.

Yep, Brewdog with the "IM SO CRAFT IT HURTS!" mentality. Sometimes I wish the marketing machine would just ease up a little bit. I think their experimental ranges are pretty awesome, Black Eyed King Imp, Albino Squid Assassin an Elvis Juice being some good examples. If they cut the bull a little and just kept making consistent beers, keep the bars staffed as brilliantly as they are, I would stop rolling my eyes so much!

P.s. The candidates were a bit naff in all fairness!

Fully agree! They can clearly brew a good beer. Blow less shit up, and make more good beer.

But yeah, an interesting watch nonetheless.

Blowing shit up sells more beer than making good beer does.
