Between the earlier possible Russell Wilson reference and now what might be a sly nod to my first name, you're definitely on my short list. However, I think I'd be closer to 2000 miles from you than the 1000 you mentioned, so not ready to cast aside all doubt.

Hint #2: My target has been a very active in here
Hint #3: You will be recieving a vintage 2008 of one of your Permawants
Hint #4: After much research I have discovered my target collects glassware

Hint #5: You have been on BA longer than I have
Hint #6: You will be getting two of what you called a "permawant" among other things, but one is of the bomber variety see hint 3. The other is a 12oz bottle, most likely a 6pk of it.

Starting from a deliberately vague and obtuse standpoint, I can confirm my target resides on Earth and would seem to work there too.

In beer hint news, the state my target is in is older than the state I live in.

In light of earlier hockey talk, my newest hint is that someone who played in the NHL in my target's state once played for the minor league team in my hometown. That player is not a Canadian

My target lives in a state that is well to the east of me, but well to the west of others.

The USN does not currently have (but in the past has had) a warship in service named for my target’s state (per wikipedia, anyway).

NEW HINT

A longtime item (perhaps a toy, game, article of clothing, something to sleep with) popular with children is named for a famous person from my target's state.

Presuming this is a dig at my mileage deduction, I suppose you could be living on the western edge of WI (I see you've cunningly left no place reviews that might indicate your home town), which would make it closer to 1,000, though I'm still inclined to think it would be plus a few hundred at least.

If something else, well, I guess I'll need a couple more hints. Actually, I need a beer. Something hoppy from Fremont should do the trick.
