Hint #5 My target's state has 6 U.S highways that serve it.

 

Off work, and for the first time in a month, I'm not going back into work to fill in on graveyard shift tonight. Don't need to power sleep, so what should I do with myself? Have a beer? Well, if you insist...

Digging into a bomber of Fat and I'm in an excellent frame of mind. So much so, that I think I'll throw out another hint.

HINTS RECAP:

Starting from a deliberately vague and obtuse standpoint, I can confirm my target resides on Earth and would seem to work there too.

In beer hint news, the state my target is in is older than the state I live in.

In light of earlier hockey talk, my newest hint is that someone who played in the NHL in my target's state once played for the minor league team in my hometown. That player is not a Canadian

My target lives in a state that is well to the east of me, but well to the west of others.

The USN does not currently but in the past has had a warship in it’s inventory named for my target’s state.

My target’s state’s most famous person has a popular children's item (toy/game/stuffed animal) associated with their name.

NEW HINT:
The last time the USN had a ship named after my target's state in their inventory, it ended it's days as a kind of houseboat. By then it had a different name.

 

I think there are counties in New Mexico with that many US Highways.
