Keeping fingers crossed that BBBKN stays available in bottles till tomorrow morning & doesn't sell out. Can't make it down today, but think I'll be able to make a Sunday trip!

I would bet my life on it. Though it's a fantastic beer, it will be available for weeks, just like all the others(outside of anny beers). Shit, they still have BBVCDA. You'll be good to go.

I heard there were only 16 cases left of BB VCDA as of yesterday but maybe I heard that wrong.

Any word if BBBKN is getting any distro? Will make for a long Sunday (Cleveland>Jackie Os>Hoof Hearted>Cleveland)...but if no Distro on the Nuts, thinking it will be worth it

That's probably true but I think his point was how long that has stuck around, so no one should be concerned about the Brick Kiln Nuts selling out tomorrow

:grimacing: I can't tell if this is a troll post or serious. Either way, it's awesome!

Hah it's serious, I already got all my nuts jokes out. It could be intentional that specifics of the nuts were left off the label so we can't emulate the secret recipe. The nuts did seem subdued at first, but really came out when it warmed up. I think the coolers may be too cold at the tap room. Also Cucumber Ginger Berliner was fantastic as always, glad I braved the crowded public house which ended up not actually being too bad.

Went there yesterday about 3:30 pm. to pick up my allotment of Nutz. As always the staff there is very friendly and probably provides the best customer service out there in the beer world. One of the brewery staff members was doing some cleaning and offer to give us a tour of the new digs. There's a lot of things in there to get excited about especially the devoted sour area (not ready yet).

The staff said they haven't had a huge amount of ppl coming in to get bottles of Nutz. So take that info as you will. I don't work there but I think you have some time to get down there before it sells out.

I'll start my own campaign for Ricky in Cans 2016

Made it down from Cleveland yesterday. Can't believe people are sleeping on it. This beer (Bourbon Barrel Brick Kiln Nuts!) Is incredible

I don't think people are sleeping on it. Fortunately for Jackie O's fans Brad does an excellent job of not feeding the hype trains with low bottle counts and stand in line bottle sales. This allows us to make our way down or up or over (wherever we live) to grab these bottles. Not like it's in the middle of a major city where a lot of neck beards live. I bet if it was located in downtown Columbus these beers would sell out in a week or days.

Do the nutz drastically affect the flavor of the base beer? Please say yes.

I haven't had BBBK in a while, but IMO, I would say BBBK Nuts tastes drastically different. Yes.

I had it on draft yesterday.. and I know my taste palate is very different than most, but I got barely any difference.. even letting it warm up, I barely noticed any nut flavor. I'm very very very bummed about it too :slight_frown:

I bought a couple bottles in hope that it was just an off day for me.

I ordered a pour and let it hit room temperature. I had another beer while I waited. Nutz are definitely there.

Yeah I thought there was a definite nuttiness to it. It wasn't as much as the Wood Ya Honey Nutz, but still pretty nutty. I think it's a lot more balanced, which I prefer.

FYI, there is a private party at our taproom tonight from 5:30 till 7:30. We will be able to sell bottles via the outdoor window by the dart boards. Unfortunately the taproom is closed to the public for 2 hours tonight. We will gladly take care of you via our service window. Thanks for your understanding and support!

I'm assuming it's $12/bottle for the BBBKN? Limit? My father will be swinging through Athens on Tuesday and was thinking of having him grab some for me. Also, do they always have Mystic Mama cans available at the brewpub?

Six bottle limit and yes they always have it along with others. Their website is usually updated regularly so it's probably the best source to gauge what you want him to pick up for you
