Actually, I picked up a bottle of each today (and one of FF Wrens Abruzzi) during lunch. Stock looked low for all three though.

Well very possible I overlooked it. I didn't have time to look through every box sitting on the floor, but all the ones I looked in were the stout. The guy working there that I was talking to didn't really seem to know that there were multiple different ones so I just figured I wasn't going to push it.

We got a very limited amount of Saison, but still have plenty of the smoked stout with coffee and Fonta Flora Wren's Abruzzi.

Gotcha, thanks! I was mainly there for the Fonta Flora one so I was happy! Just didn't mean to spread wrong information about something being sold out if it wasn't yet.

I was at Zebulon today sampling some of their upcoming beers. I have yet to sample one that is not extremely well crafted.

Next weekend they are going to be releasing a Grisette, in 3 weeks a Hoppy Farmhouse, and in 5 weeks the 1840 East India Porter.

Mike said they plan on having a bottle release every two weeks moving forward and those are the next 3 that are planned.

Absolutely agree. I stopped in yesterday and even the beers I wasn't a fan of it was pretty obvious that they were well made. I wasn't a huge fan of the Grisette, but I could definitely see drinking it on a hot day. The East India Porter was probably my favorite beer they have right now.

Anyone know if Batch #3 is coming to Charlotte?

I'm not a huge fan of Saison's, but batch #3 was pretty good. I imagine that if I was a Saison fan, I would have loved it. It is on the light side, yet had depth. Like folks have posted, well crafted. Can not wait for his sours, well I bet we will all wait in lines for it.

Bottles of the grisette, hoppy farmhouse and smoked stout hit Sam's bottle shop the other day. Still roughly 3 cases of each as of yesterday afternoon. I don't see many reviews or ticks on any of these beers. Anyone want to share their thoughts on what they've opened so far? Promising brewery and I'm excited to open my bottles soon.

I loved the batch 1 farmhouse one and also liked the newest hoppy farmhouse, although probably just a hair less than b1. Have a grisette that I haven't opened and another of the hoppy one that I'm going to share with some buddies who normally only drink IPA's. It's definitely got some nice citrusy hop flavor, plus it says "for David Bowie" on it so that's bonus points.

Really liking the hoppy farmhouse. Been a while since I've had a Belgian IPA of such good quality. American breweries need to try their hands at that style more often.

As a former AVL resident I am looking forward to trying some of their beers next time I'm back. What's the typical price point on the bottles out of curiosity?

I just paid $9.99 for the Grisette and $12.99 for the Hoppy Farmhouse at Sam's Bottle Shop. The Smoked Stout was $15.99 but did not get it.

Batch 1 and 3 are great. One slightly better imo. 2 was a smoked porter, not my thing. Super smokey like a campfire. Haven't had 4 yet, but enjoy all the beers so far. Damn good raspberry sour was on tap for sampling when I went up there a few weeks ago and that thing was phenomnoninal

Cool thanks for the info. Looks like they have several of their future beers already loaded on beer advocate for anybody that's curious.

I enjoyed the hoppy farmhouse this afternoon. At first it really reminded me of Tank 7. That's definitely meant as a compliment. When I dumped in the dregs, the beer became much more tropical with a huge juicy fruit bubblegum vibe taking over. Nice beer. I wanted a bit more funkiness from the brett. Maybe it just needs a little time.

I wonder how similar that is to the 1859 East India Porter Green Man had last spring. I really liked that offering from Green Man, hopefully this one is cut from similar cloth.
