I felt like it was a little rough around the edges, but definitely tasty. Probably right there with Blabe, but not close to SoE.

If someone gave me a blindfold when I drank it, it would have been more enjoyable though...

I had it yesterday... It was good, but nothing really stood out flavor wise. I prefer Musk and all of the canned offerings over it.

I noticed the color difference today from the last one. This is more how I remember it looking last year. The January release was odd looking

 

Yeah interested to hear because I had some on draft and was a little disappointed.

 

Wow, good point on the color difference. I wonder if they're tweaking the recipe. I hope they don't mess with it too much! Last year's Blabe is what got me hooked on this brewery.

 

I wouldn't compare the fresh one with the one and a half month old one... Part of that crazy turbid look is suspended yeast which eventually drops out with cold conditioning (your refrigerator). So the two month old Blabe will for sure be clearer at this point and is not exactly comparable with a fresh can... Unless you have a photo of them taken at the same age, same lighting, etc... Hard to exactly compare at this point.

 

It doesn't look like those pictures were taken at the same time, so they very well could have been when both were fresh.

 

100 % correct. Heady does the same thing. However, I think his pics are both of "fresh" cans. I recall thinking the color was quite different, at least quicker (within the first 2 weeks) last time. Not a complaint. Just an observation. Looks like you either came and went, or took the week off yesterday BTW. Didnt see anyone I knew this week.

Yeah, we skipped out on it since I still have Blabe from the past release... No need to hoard more of it lol

We instead went to the Hoof Brewpub on Saturday for a few hours. Great place, not as "sterile" as I expected with the music and weird movies/cartoons playing on the TV's. It was even better that a friend works at the bar, which made for a fantastic day. Food was awesome as well! Really liked the place... Wish they had more "flagship" IPA's on tap, but the gose and RIS Voltan was pretty awesome.

We should be back at the next canning if we are not out of town!

 

Curious if anyone knows if there will be a canning this week? Going to be passing through Columbus again so anything of interest would be great!

 

I believe they said that South of Eleven would be next, followed by a hoppy wheat ale. I'm not sure if that will be this upcoming weekend though. The BA Mom Jeans should be bottled up soon also, probably after those two releases.

 

The first pic was taken on Feb 1. So it was a day old. So I'd say it's fair comparison.
