I am going to be out in Boston for a teacher conference and was hoping to rent a car and travel around for another week and a half. What cities would make the most sense for me to stay in to get the best out of the craft beer scene out there? I am thinking Portland, ME for sure, but beyond that, I am not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Yes, definitely Portland not just for the beer but because it's a great little New England coastal city. Then I would say Burlington, Stowe or Waterbury for the big VT beers, the mountains, and the beautiful countryside. Lots of information available about which days each town gets Heady and Lawson's deliveries. And perhaps a trip to Tree House on your way back to Boston to return the rental car.

Portsmouth, NH seacoast area. Including southern ME coast. Also MA had Trillium, Night Shift, and Lord Hobo all can be hit in Boston and heading north to NH/ME.
