For a minute there I thought they were trying to compete with Frost Brewed, Cold Filtered Coors Light! Don' t you touch my Coors Light!

Sounds awful. I enjoy IPA's, I enjoy coffee. Separately, at different times.

I would try just about any coffee ipa but the best one I've had by far is Carton SS Yirgacheffe. The coffee has a lemony bite that works really well with the lemon drop hops. I was skeptical before trying it but it works really well. CL Hopsomniac is very good too. I don'f buy many Rogue beers but I'd try this.

If Rogue were ever to sell out to AB Inbev, would anyone care?

They've actually made this before, but they didn't bottle it before. I tried it last year; I'm not sure coffee IPAs are my thing, but it was well-executed for what it was. I might give it another shot if I see it around.

It's interesting seeing all the kneejerk negative reactions. Coffee IPAs aren't super common, but they aren't all that new, and they haven't been super controversial around here until Rogue bottles one, and now people are aghast because those people have gone too far. I get that they've made some bad decisions, but that doesn't mean every beer they make is bad.

Would fit right in with the rest of the mediocre-tier craft breweries they've purchased.

Dayman was amazing. I haven't seen another coffee IPA on the shelf since then, I'll definitely be grabbing this so long as the price is reasonable.

Did anyone like the Ithaca Java Power?
i really liked it, my only coffee IPA.
I pass up all rogue products every time I'm at a bottle shop, just not what I'm ever looking for.
Is Brutal any good? Does it matter?

    Awful people? How so?

I get the overpriced, mediocre beers comments, but going as far as calling them awful people because of it is a bit much, no?

I've never enjoyed an IPA with coffee or a Rogue IPA, so I will pass.

I honestly can't see how melding Coffee and IPA-esque Hop flavours could be appealing. They are two very different flavours.

Kudos to Rogue for the idea but I can't see myself hopping onto that boat.

I guess someone hasn't heard about Rogue's awful treatment of their employees, or how awful the executive staff is at Rogue in general

EDIT: Read the entire thread, the OP was re-posted further down. There are a lot of other stories from people who worked there or had to deal with those unprofessional brewers.

So over coffee In beer most are a let down coffee gose anyone?

Pumpkin was the big thing then gose was all over then coffee. The trendy ingredient always goes too far and most don't deliver. Pass.

I did like the bastard coffee from Stone not so much CREAM from sixpoint, not bad but 6 was plenty

    Enjoy

Chain stores like grocery stores(wegmans/wholefoods) and they are sold at every beer distributer. Even though I rarely buy the stuff I never have to worry about not being able to pass on some Rogue wherever I may shop.

I am all aboard the coffee IPA train but price and other factors apply.

Coffee IPAs are stellar when done correctly. I've only had 2, 1 was good and 1 was meh (the "meh" was Mikkeller Koppi Citra X Michiti IPA, I cant remember who brewed the good one). But its always been a style I've been super curious about, and am always on the look out for. However, I think I'll pass on this one. Not just because its a Rogue beer, but cold brew in general is just gross to me.
