Yep! Just saw on the Facebook page. Anyone know if this is a more piney DIPA? Just curious what I should expect since roller blabe was different than what I was expecting.

Got a ticket for SOE an hour after tickets dropped, and this beer is arguably the best beer they make. Hoof hype gone already?

They do so many cannings that the supply/demand had to catch up a bit at some point. Also, the brew pub being open changed the scene a bit. I would say SoE is not one of their top 2 -3 for many people too. I really like it, but prefer Saddle and Blabe myself. I know there is a big percentage that would probably put Kong at the top.

Well roller blabe imo didn't live up to the hype but really excited to try this one. I'm going to get a glass before I buy my allotment to see if it is worth the 3-4 packs

I thought this batch of roller blabe was killer, way better than the last batch.

SOE is more a west coast style IPA, which I think is why tickets are still available. Most people go nuts for their NE style stuff. I agree though, SOE is great. Plus, be one of the first 100 to get there and you can grab a 4 pack of Blabe in the process.

That's what me and a friend were thinking too. People know it's not the NE style, but more dank and resiny so I think that's why tickets lasted so long. Plus this comes right after one of their more hyped releases too (Roller Blabe).

I'm actually looking forward to SoE more than most of their other releases. I've been hoping they'd can this again for a while now. Could have something to do with my preference towards west coast IPAs over juice bomb New England-style IPAs or that I have fond memories of it being my first Hoof beer. At any rate, I'm glad I'm going!

So I haven't been to a ticketed release since they canned We'll Do It Live. They didn't even have draft beer for that release and it was right after they declared no bottle shares and started throwing down the gauntlet on different things. How have recent releases been for those that have attended? I see you no longer need a ticket to get drafts so is it busy again? Do people still bring chairs and hang out on the property drinking or has it turned into a grab-and-go event for cans? Have people secretly started bringing their own beers again?

I was there around 2ish and there were still a bunch of people there hanging around drinking. They had a couple tents set up for the rain and some picnic tables for people to sit and eat from the food truck. Also they had two porta potties. They did have a rope up stating to alcohol beyond it but I saw some folks walking around with their pints. Did not see any outside beer except a can of tublife which I just assumed was for a trade. I can't comment on how things were before this release. Blabe was the first release I've been to since the new tickets. I like it.

put me in the SOE > RB camp, but I love them both. I do think that this batch of Blabe is the best yet.

As for people wondering about how the releases are now, I went at 3pm last weekend, waited 5 minutes in line, got my allotment and a pint. drank it and left. probably 40 people hanging out, it was perfect if you ask me. hope it stays that way. when it gets too busy, I stay home.

No more bottle shares. There is a roped off area in front of the brewery with a sign that says no alcohol beyond this point. So you have to drink inside or stay within the area with any open containers. Line wasn't bad for Blabe. There are 2 lines now. One for cans and bottles and the other for cans, bottles, drafts, growlers. I got there at about 12:15 and left with my cans and a growler at about 1.

About this roped off area, are you saying if you wanna hang out for an hour or so drinking draft beer you have to stay in or directly near the opening of the barn? Thats a pretty small space.

My only complaint is one that I've had for a while. I wish they had a draft only line. I got my cans and a draft for blabe, and wanted a second draft. We had to wait in line another 20 minutes just to get a draft, and we were paying cash. If they had a cash only draft line we could have been served within one minute.

Agreed that it took a while. I don't think its just the lack of a cash line. Its multi factorial. One of the limiting factors is the ticketing thing - trying to scan the bar codes that won't scan, so they have to take a photos of the barcode, etc.

The most efficient system that I've seen/been to is Tree House. Last time I was there, they served over 400 people. They do cans first, and people that want growler fills, fill out an order sheet and wait. Its hard to do everything (pours, cans and growlers and scan those barcodes) at the same time and be time efficient.
