As trading becomes more and more popular, it would be great to know what beers are bottled and which aren't, and the current default photo makes it impossible, and it's not always easy info to find.

Perhaps when a user adds a beer, they can add that with a check box or something, and the icon can change accordingly; either a bottle outline if it's bottled, or a tap handle if it's draft only. It should also be an optional update to existing beers. Just another way the users of this site can add more clarity and info to the site.

That feature used to exist. When you logged a review there would be a drop-down where you could select 'on-tap' 'bottle' 'can' 'nitro' and 'nitro-can' (but I don't think you could select cask if I remember correctly). They got rid of this feature and I have no idea (or can't remember) why.

Cask was an option for the serving type for your review. They got rid of it because people were using the opportunity to log multiple reviews for the same beer for greater score influence.

Not the case. When users were able to review multiple serving types, they were rolled into a user average before being calculated for the overall score.

The feature (not data) was removed when we switch over to our new API. We intended on adding support for it, but higher priority tasks and projects got in the way and our thoughts on supporting it shifted.

I'm not sure if it'll every come back at this point, but if it did we'd need implement things differently.

I don't mean for reviews.. I mean for the beer listing overall. In the absence of a photo, the icon would indicate whether it's draft only or available in bottles/cans.

Personally I feel like that will lead to a lot of work/upkeep - just thinking about beers that are sometimes draft, then move into bottles, bottles to cans (no more bottles), sometimes available in cask, etc. And every time it changes, another update is submitted - I think it is hard for people to keep track of the beers availability as it is (Limited, Seasonal, Year Round, Rotating) I cannot imagine this will be easier or kept very accurate.

The reviews by serving type were helpful for this, as they basically built the list for us.

I can generally tell when I look at a beer's reviews if it's draft-only as reviewers tend to give that information at the outset. I try to always put it in the "header" of my review.

Of course that leaves the work to the person who's trying to figure out what's what.

I miss the variety of options for listing, but even when that existed I saw reviews that listed it incorrectly; and I'm not sure that we really need to be trying to determine whether draft or bottle or can or cask makes a difference when it comes to the overall picture.
