Target Cluedo #8: Much to my amazement, my target lives in a town smaller than my hometown. And it has been shrinking.

Haul Hint #8: My region is famous for a certain type of weather. I intend to include some beer from an aptly titled brewery, though I do not yet know which beer. I mentioned the brewery recently in our weekly thread.

This is neither Minnesota or Washington... Damn. Deeper down the rabbit hole.

Looks like Minneapolis and Seattle both fit that description.

Oh true, I looked at the 40th latitude. My reading capabilities, as reflected several times over in this thread, are especially poor before noon. Thanks to all of you that offered remedial support.

As does Whatcom county, and I suspect, Spoklahoma.

Still compiling my target's beers. I'm up to 136.5oz and there will be at least a 750mL added in the near future. I may have to send more than one porch bombing raid.

I prefer the two-pronged approach: The cans arrive via USPS "If it fits, it ships" box aerial assault, then followed on by the ground-pounders of UPS-Fedex-DHL-whoever.

Thank Dan Savage of the Stranger for that, it's his invention. Along with the creation of the new use of the name "santorum".

When my funds recover from this BIF, one pending trade, a box I'm going to owe @TongoRad and the funds I owe the IRS, I'll ship you some plus Scale Tipper if there are fresh bottles at that time. And Elevated of
    Course.

Fun fact: the 45th parallel, half way between the equator and the North Pole, sits just outside the capital of Oregon. A state that has no participants in this BIF, BTW. Next one, let's all see if we can't recruit some folks from OR, CO, and some of the other states that are missing.

    So...hint number 17

The geographical area of the metropolitan area of a large city near me is larger than my target's entire state's area...

Also grabbing some hoppy goodness today from Floyds to toss into the box...

So, do you buy the USPS box ahead of time?

Well, the actual box is free. There's several sizes, the one that's about 10x10x6 inches can hold 10-12oz cans, plus packing material. Our main post office has a 24-hour lobby, with a kiosk. Swing by, grab a box, pack it, go back and print out the label from the kiosk, and drop it in. No pesky questions to answer. 2nd day delivery anywhere in the country, $14.

USPS Flat rate is one of the best bargains in beer shipping.

I still haven't gotten up the nerve to use it for bottles though. Do you ever ship glass using USPS?
