I just received word from one of my distributors, J.J. Taylor, that 3 beers from Toppling Goliath are now available for me to order, all in 4pks of 16oz cans: psuedoSue, Golden Nugget IPA, and Dorothy's Lager. They are contract brewed & canned by Brew Hub in nearby Lakeland, FL. I expect they will all be super-fresh!

I've gotten cans of psuedo and dorothy's lager that were brewed in Lakeland from a trade, but I have yet to see any for sale in bottle shops in Florida.

Toppling Goliath is half the distance from me than it is from Florida and I still haven't seen a single bottle in person. If I sound bitter, it's because I am.

But that's awesome news for you guys! I've heard some news that I can't quite share that may increase some distro of some special beers in my area though. I guess you win some and lose some.

No, they were previously available in FL only on draft & or in 32oz crowlers at Brew Hub, no package/retail.

Brew Hub did sell a few cases of 4 pack bottles last year, and it was quite delicious. Since then, the beer tastes like a decent regular, every day Pale Ale. No juiciness, no dank, no tropical notes. Good for TG for cashing in on a market where 99% of the consumers will have no idea theyre being duped with a beer that tastes nothing like its supposed to.

TG has lost me as a customer. Yeah, I know, they wont miss me, but I refuse to give my money to a brewery who doesnt care about the quality of product theyre sending to market.

Are they requiring you to also order a bunch of Dorothy's to also be able to order psuedoSue and Golden Nugget? That is what they required here and that stuff just sits.

We saw TG hit distro here last fall or so, I keep buying sue cans in the hope that Brew Hub brewed sue come close to match Iowa sue, but I keep being disappointed. Thankfully we see some Iowa TG bombers here from time to time.

i trade with a guy in Chicago that has a friend who heads to Toppling Goliath every so often to pick up TG brews. He has sent me PsuedoSue, Golden Nugget, Sosus (22 oz bombers) and a couple other of their IPAs and pale ales. They were all super juicy and awesome. That's disappointing to hear that the cans being brewed by Brew Hub are not up to par with what they brew in Iowa. However, I do want to try for myself first once these are available. Glad to hear about distro because I probably wouldn't ever go to Lakeland just to visit Brew Hub unless I lived in Tampa or Orlando.

Has TG ever commented on the difference between their IA and FL brewed beer? I'd love to hear if anyone has contacted them about it. Recently traded for some Sue that ended up being from Lakeland and thought it was a good pale ale, but would be interested in a better version.

Clark had made a comment a little while back that acknowledged that it wasn't the same and that they were working on it.

I was not compelled to also order Dorothy's. I notice the inventory numbers show J.J. Taylor has more than twice as much pseudoSue (389 cases) in stock as they do the other two (150 each).

The word from J.J. is these will be regular stock items moving forward.

I've already sold at least a case of pSue just by texting a few friends LOL

I was wondering if there was a difference between the IA and FL stuff...I guess there is. The sue that I had was decent enough, but I was wondering why the hell everyone goes nuts for it.

    It's different for sure.

Not that great, IMO. But like mentioned- they will capitalize on doing it less than right at BH, and people will buy it up.

Thanks, Mr Beast. Craft Beer Celler in Brandon, (a JJT customer), posted photos of all 3 as just arriving. Hope the quality is good. The last shipment I got, which I thought would be Iowa brewed, went from Lakeland to Iowa to a distributor and a retailer north east of there, and then to me. I live about 6 miles from Brew Hub. The beer was good, but a fool and his money,.........
I'll have to check out your shop on a trip south.

I have talked to people that work at the brew pub. They said TG was excited and thought the brew hup beers where as good if not better than what they where brewing in Iowa, due to the centrifuge available in Fl. That they don't have in Iowa. Would love to do a side by side for my own satisfaction.
