When does the Hardywood Bourbon Vanilla Raspberry Stout come out? Or did I miss it?

I believe KBS is supposed to hit distro the first week of April.

had the exact same experience. Draft pour was really nice. Cans weren't the same. I still have a few, hoping it changes

I had this at Heavy Seas event about a week ago on tap, great beer. So is the new Plank IV.

Has anyone seen the Grimm Subliminal Message in bottles anywhere? Not sure if it has hit the DMV for distribution yet. I've been able to find their bottles in the past at that beer store at Union Market.

I was at that store on Saturday and they didn't have anything from Grimm at the time (they still had some bottles of Super Symmetry a few weeks ago). I'd look either there or Pipetown Traders for it.

Citra Splendor from Manor Hill available at downtown crown in MoCo. On a side note, I find the label on the can oddly beautiful.

I'd think twice about buying those cans, especially at $18.99/4pack. The cans I bought were a mess. So many off flavors, most notably diacetyl.

One can down at the moment and I don't taste anything off yet. Although I'm no expert in tasting beer, I do feel it's not the same as when I had it on draft at smoke and barrel. But it's still good imo (17.99 at DTC in MoCo)

Edit: Since you mentioned it, I think I taste something that may be buttery aftertone, but it may be psychological. :slight_frown:

Some of the cans were better than others. I drank the last one last night, and that buttery flavor that diacetyl produces was extremely noticeable.

Grabbed a 4 pk of Citra Spendor last week and so far the 2 cans I've had have been great. I've never had it on draft so I can't make the comparison.

Guessing they made a lot this year (as usually goes for the following year after initial release for HW). It was 2pp for reg and vanilla last year. No mention of limits this year so should see nice distro. This year's Raspberry is their best year iIMO (great raspberry balance) so I have high expectations for both of these BA versions.

As usual, expect first week of April
