Twin Cities Bottle Hunt - 2016 Edition

There is an ignore feature, that may give you the peace and tranquility that you desire. I just hope you don't get carpal tunnel in the process of ignoring everyone, because that would suck.

 

Heading up to the Cities tonight and the next couple days for a work conference, hoping to grab a couple bottles of Apricot Vista. Staying in St. Paul but can and will travel. Any around? Any help or leads would be greatly appreciated!

This is all assuming that everyone's trading partners and girlfriends have been satisfied at this point

I saw plenty (3-4 cases) of Apricot Vista at South Lyndale Liquor in Minneapolis last night if you aren't able to find any in Saint Paul.

 

Thread is almost unfollowable. Lets start a new thread specific to Liquor Stores pricing practices. This is supposed to be how do I find beer! And KBS week is coming up AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH

 

It might be in the process of hitting St. Paul & the eastern part of the Twin Cities. I called a few stores in the southeast metro last night & no luck, a few were expecting it this week.

 

Absolutely true! I shop primarily at two liquor stores near where I live in GV. Tell me I can find a bottle or 4-pack for $2 less in Champlin or Eagan or even downtown Minneapolis (where I might have to pay for parking) and I'll say who the fuck cares. Forget the cost of gas, what is your time worth? Spend even 30-60 minutes to drive somewhere to save up to $10 (if I buy several items)? My time is worth much more than $15-20/hr.

To be fair: if someone lives equidistant from two or three stores and learns from this forum that what he wants is less expensive at one of them... then he has actually saved money (gas, time and effort all being equal).

North Loop Liquors off Washington had bottles of Apricot Vista for $16.99 and 4 packs of Todd for $16.99.

I saw a tweet from Ale Jail with a couple bottles of KBS on the counter, not sure what the limit is or how much they have, could barely read the price but it looked like $6.99 per...might be worth a call for more info

 

Just to clarify, I believe that was their cellar sale. I'm assuming that the KBS isn't this years.

^ Right right...my bad...long gone by the time I got there...did nab a Lunker though...first time having one of those...my sweet dayum that's good! Do these usually stick around for a bit? Or do they go pretty quick? I see they have a release this month...

 

Lunker sits for a little bit when it initially hits. there might be a few stores in the 'burbs that you might be able to still find a bottle.

 

How much are you guys seeing LB Irish Coffee going for? Thought I heard it would be $9.99 but its $13.99 at TW. (adds fuel to the fire).

 

four cases this past week at F44 for $9.99

probably more of a case of not updating the price to reflect the invoice at TW.

 

South Lyndale has it for $12.99.

 

I haven't been to F44, but all I have seen it for is $12.99-$13.99.

 

I'm assuming you'll be getting them in on Friday?
