I'm assuming you mean Sweet Action, because I think CREAM is pretty good, and not much like it in cans. And frankly, Sweet Action is great for a Cream Ale if... you're in the mood.

In general, no one should ever be excited about hoppy beers being imported in from other states that aren't California. They're probably not as good as the very best in here to begin with, plus they had to travel. Resin and Hi-Res are totally fine, but they're not gonna touch fresh Noble, El Segundo, Beachwood, Modern Times, or whoever else has your fancy these days.

Sixpoint Crisp is pretty darn tasty, but you live in a state where there's Pivo.

i dunno, send me some tree house and hoof hearted hoppy beers with distro to cali and ill be a happy boy, even if it does have to travel and is a few weeks old.

Got some Sixpoint on trades b4. If this is true about them being in the LA only that is good. They are good for once in awhile go to beers. Now bring on some Trillium and OH? Different story.

The BB bottle I picked up last week was fresh. And only at 4.99 per. I did find another bottle of KD Hop Shortage at Mr Kegs that was dated almost a year old. Now that's ridiculous. I think they and others need to pull those off and throw them away. I always check for dates or look for floaties.

Hi-Res is solid this year. It's also nice to have a 12oz. option for a TIPA.

I'm skeptical you would. Certainly possible, and I've enjoyed the NE hype IPAs fresh in the NE, and they're definitely a little different in flavor, but they won't be as fresh as the comparable in quality (if not flavor profile) best locals. Just my $.02, it's in no way a knock on those breweries (or Sixpoint), more an observation on how we're literally living in the IPA mecca of the world and while there are other great IPAs out there they'll be more worth your time in the area of their release than if we start getting distro.

    Sssshhhhhhh.

I haven't but many did in a FB group I'm part of. Reviews consisted of honey and cardboard flavor.

Someone brought it to a share I was at recently as a joke. It tasted like what I think a horses' ass would taste like..so then we french pressed it with like raisins and coconut flakes. I think that individual gave a small funeral to his french press. There is a drink for everyone, but I can safely say that E-40 is definitely not one of mine.

Why has this E40 beer (malt liquor?) made a splash amongst beer nerds? Is it solely the appeal of the rapper?
