Aslin Beer Co Releases

Anyone know anything about the 2 new IPAs they're releasing this week: Champion of the Sun and Master of Karate? (other than they're 'it's always sunny' references)

 

I was wondering about those too. Might be a St. Patricks Day purchase. Or should I wait for Ontario next week?

 

I like Parallax more than Small Town, but I think Sexy is the best beer they've brewed so far.

 

I liked Small Town better than Parallax, though that's like saying I like diamonds better than whatever is slightly less valuable than diamonds. Haven't had Bringing Sexy Back, though I'm ready for the next release.

 

Pumped. Just got back from a work trip in Florida and my homie grabbed me a growler of their new ipa. Going to make a run at it tonight. You have to be committed at 32 Oz though.

 

Looks like they ran out of crowlers. Gonna head over today for some growler fills then.

Has anyone here tried Champion or Karate yet?

Master of Karate is fucking awesome. Big, chewy mouthfeel. Juice bomb.

 

Hope there's some left tomorrow. I'm up near Philly, planning on grabbing some Alien Church on the way down. Then compare and contrast.

I guess that will be the "contrast" part... the fruit salad of my life.

 

I think Alien Church is a fair comparison to Aslin's IPAs, I don't see how they are apples and oranges.

 

Prob gonna hit up Aslin between a wedding and reception this Sat. Who has a wedding at 2, then reception start at 5? Just seems like a big gap. But to the important part. With Aslin, are IPAs only crowler fills now? No growler (32 or 64)? And it's 2pp per IPA? $13 per crowler? That does seem on the high side, but cheaper than driving to tree house.
