When is Grimm going to kickstarter a brewery in NYC for themselves like InterBoro. Chasing down one can is just insanity

Dang, worst fears realized. That was one of the most reliable places to snag a 4-pack for past releases.

Agreed, not worth the trip down for 2 cans.

I can't quote ever my that commented on my rant on page three. I just want to point out that paying someone to wait in line seems ridiculous to me as well BUT at least that person is only getting their normal allotment.

I guess I just hate seeing someone with so much beer that I can't get. Thanks yall

Some of this behavior is really pathetic and these are sad individuals. There is so much great beer out there, take a step back people and stop contributing to the madness. I agree, so much behavior making the craft beer world a worse place.

Looks like the delivery truck went from Brooklyn straight to... Rockland County?

Just had my Subliminal last night -- was pretty tremendous IMO. Favorite sour I've had from Grimm by leaps (*leaps*) and bounds (*bounds*) *MC HAMMER DANCES OUT DOOR*.

My grandmother lives less than 10 minutes from that store. Time to call grandma for a favor?

I'll be stalking beermenu's and a local's instagram (G&G) today with a hope to get a can. 2 would be best but I just want to try this beer. Didn't see any Lambo Door make it up this way last time in cans (draft...yes), but I wasn't truck chasing or taking days off work.

Unfortunately, if you didn't see Lambo Door in your neck of the woods, I wouldn't hold out too much hope for Afterimage, as the batch size is smaller (back to normal amount, that is).

From what I saw, the larger run for Lambo may have led to a wider reach rather than larger quantities for shops, as most places I saw/heard about still only got a case.

I was talking to my local bottle shop owner the other day and they were saying how terrible these release have become for them. Phone rings off the hook and people are incredibly rude to her. They have gotten to the point where the beer will not be put up on beer menus or their social media account. Sad it has come to this for such a fantastic brewery.

All this to say maybe this is why we haven't seen many updates yet... or it still hasn't gone out.

Actually a bunch of places got their case and then another case a week later...

Yea, this is not surprising. It's crazy how much difference that makes too - my local shop didn't put the last release up on social media or BM, and info never hit this thread about it being there, and MBDN and Lambo lasted for several days (3 can/1 bottle limits). Then they got another case of Lambo a week later and again no mention on social media or BM, but I lucked out and walked by right when they got it.

I wish more places did this because it increases the chances that everyone can get just a few at their local bottle shop without much hassle. Even if that happens, some of the places will get blown up in this thread, but it still increases the chances of organically finding the beer. When places post on BM and social media mid-day, it really just maximizes the chances that a select group of people that don't have to be at work and can just run around the city all day will scoop up a large portion of the beer.

I was able to get Cloudbusting in the fall and a can of Tesseract, so I still have hope as cans do make it up to Cable Bev and Growler & Gill. Also got a MBBDN at G&G 2-3 weeks ago, so distro is still up here. #BelieveinGrimm (LOL!)

Yeah, I know Cable Bev doesn't put some of the super hyped releases up and even holds on to them a bit. I was in there every week around Tesseract and asking, along with buying stuff. Wasn't until I gave the guy a Baby Diamonds to try that he gave me a Tesseract.

You take the good with the bad. I've personally discovered at least 4 bottle shops I would not have because of Grimm. Yes, it sucks for the employees but, then again, most things do in retail.

Completely agree. I think the issue they have is people are starting to get very rude and nasty towards them. For example: they had 12 bottles of maple double negative and obviously sold out fast. People were accusing them of holding bottles, saying it was impossible they sold out so fast and generally being dicks about it because they missed it.

I think thats were things fall apart. Constant calls and people coming in just for that product are part of retail but being treated like crap for not having the beer shouldn't be.
