It's early, but working on a half-growler of Fat Head's Super Juicy Hop Juju.. it's basically like drinking orange juice anyways.. cheers!

Good morning, all, and welcome to today's episode of the Recapping Chronicles! This half-full bomber of Old Guardian Extra Hoppy was recapped and left untouched for over a month. Upon opening it this morning, I discovered that the carbonation had largely dissipated (not surprising). I also found that the aroma and taste had suffered not in the least. I would describe it as a slightly less intense version of Samichlaus Classic. Perfect for the top of the mornin' after!

Listening to some Ozzy Osbourne "Randy Rhoads TRIBUTE" on Vinyl. Tomorrow on March 19th marks the 34th anniversary since Randy Rhoads untimely death in a plane crash while on tour with Ozzy in 1982. Such a great guitar player, what could have been? Most of the songs from Ozzy/RR Tribute were taken from the 5/11/1981 concert in Cleveland, OH.

The "After Hours" TV show footage is probably the best quality video we have of Ozzy & RR LIVE.

 

Randy Rhoads was a great guitar player.Out of all the great guitar players Ozzy had over the years he was my favorite.Saw Ozzy in 1981 with Motorhead in Long Beach,ca.What a great show.Thanks for the excellent post.

I wasn't a huge fan of this beer when I first tried it over a month ago, but I've come to enjoy it after having a few more. Perhaps Xocoveza was still too fresh in my mind? It's perfect on a sunny but cool day. Happy Friday gang!

For starters, I love that Glass! Second, I experiment like this with IPAs...(not documented on BA though). I found some hoppy beers last just about a week. Oxygen really kills the Hop Oils but the Malts stay tasty as ever. I have to do a 3 month experiment to see the overall effect of oxidation on a Malted Beer spectrum.

 

Drinking this Swill here now, because @SomethingClever raging on it being upper tier. He knows how I feel about Stone's Stouts... This one though is tasty, not going to lie. I like how it's balanced with just enough Cocoa and Burnt Oatmeal to satisfy that itch that I have toward Chocolate. Would Bang Again!

I just reviewed it. It is, I would've liked a bit more sweetness to it, but I think Stone Nailed what they wanted it to be. This aftertaste is Otherworldly to be honest.
