Other half can do what they want. I don't agree with all their ideas and practices but they make great beer. The entitlement and moaning about everything is absurd. If they want their lines long, take their time, don't care etc that's their choice. And it's your choice on whether you want to go and deal with their business practices. They aren't shady people and I have complained to them once and they took it seriously and didn't laugh me off.

So let them do what they want. If you don't like it don't show up. And don't complain about a business that is consistently supplying something to its customers and puts up with the crap half the people hear give them. We all hate lines. But we have caused them. So until everyone decides beer isn't worth it deal with it. We all are part of the problem. Not them

you're totally right. a small business should totally just focus on product and entirely ignore customer feedback. you definitely are a business owner, aren't you? I know if I owned a business i'd totally hate if there was one wildly convenient location where i could speak with customers who (largely) love my product, answer questions, and solicit feedback. so yeah, you're totally spot on

But they don't have to. Their regular customers speak to them at the brewery all the time. They are very accessible and easy to speak with. You don't have to go online. Just because everyone feels they should doesn't mean they have to. They have national recognition now. Their beer sells itself. People are going to lineup every other Saturday regardless of the complaints on the Internet. If you don't buy it someone else will. It's not like they insult or berate their customers. It's one thing to ignore complaints about problems with the product or an employee. But the fact people are complaining they have to wait in a long line for a product they and many others want and will wait hours for? Get real

Alright lets try and bring this back to reality. This was blown out just because of the comparison of Tree house to OH by @Kanger. While I don't think its a valid comparison, we all understand there will be lines, that's the unfortunate nature of beer today.

It's completely up to OH if they wan't to participate here, I think people just sometimes expect (maybe wrongfully so) some back and forth with the locals that attend releases. I am saying this with no bias (other than the previous email experience) since I haven't attended a release since the first.

Wait, did you take "homerism" to mean something like "homoism"?

back to beer, does anyone know what's going into All Citra Everything? Is it basically AGE with just citra hops? the ABV is different so i assume not.

I would assume it a continuation of the single hop double IPA series in the same vain as Suparillo and Double Mosaic Dream.

So every customer with a complaint must physically go to the brewery to submit said complaint?

No, you should keep whining about it on this forum. That seems to be working out just fine.

I gotta say, this is mostly an east coast phenomenon. There are no lines for releases at La Cumbre, Marble and Bosque here in Albuquerque. Casey releases in Colorado, which only occur once a month and theoretically should be shitshows based on that fact alone, are always smooth, calm and pleasant. Maybe it's the sheer population of NYC or the Boston metro/New England area, but these releases are not representative of the norm in other parts of the country.

As I've said in this thread before, I don't quite get the frenzy for cans given how great NYC's beer scene and distribution are. If anything, the lines, the FOMO, are driving the behavior more than the beer. It's a bit weird.

I'm not whining in this thread and I was asking a legitimate question. We already know they don't answer email or social media (even though they heavily use IG and Twitter). AMEX fucked up my credit card bill this past month. Hopping on the subway now to confront them at their HQ on Vessey...

While I imagine that there's a good amount of hoarding for trading purposes, I'm out of the house from 8am-8pm M-F and have children at home that, for some reason, enjoy my company. I don't do much drinking in bars these days and don't like to be locked in to finishing a growler within a few days when I'm usually drinking only one beer at night during the week, so cans are a huge plus for me.

Yea, this minus the kids thing. No kids, but I often work really long hours and don't have the patience to go to a bar after work. I just want a beer at home before I go to bed, and cans are by far the best option for that. That, coupled with my love of Grimm and OH, means cans are in high demand for me. Singlecut and Barrier sprinkled in as well but they are a pricier option so I like to keep those to a minimum.

Fair enough, but even if you get shut out of OH cans, you can find pretty obscene selections at Fine Fares in NYC that we could only dream of in New Mexico. There's no shortage of options on draft, in cans or bottles, or for growler fills just about anywhere in the city.

They don't really respond to e-mail either. I don't really think I should have to physically track down the owner of a business if I have an issue. It's 2016.

Wonder if it was because of huna day? I was standing in lines in florida instead of brooklyn. albeit not until after 10am.

Also stopped by the OH tent at huna day, their citra was gone within an hour, and tbh it seemed like the dude pouring just didn't give a fuck about being there. Not sure of his name but he's one of the guys that runs the can releases.
