Drinking a bottle at this very moment after arriving home from Berlin & Brussels trip. Yes, glad to be drinking an IPA after all those Belgian ales, kriek, sours and lambic. Including the Cantillon Brewery. Beachwood Blendary was mentioned while I was there. Blown away from what I saw and tasted. Hope Gabe's Blendary is successful. But getting back to this glass of week old CitraHolic.......outstanding!

David, I think this is by far the best batch of Citraholic Julian has brewed and I've had them all.

    Cheers……….

How long were you in Brussels? Headed there this August or so and want to plot out the best course for drinking there.

So I've heard this batch of Citraholic is one of the best ever(from what BA's have been saying) .
I sent a bottle to a buddy out of state, he said himself and 2 others tasted "huge diacytol" flavors independently.
I didn't try this batch, anyone else?

I've had two bottles so far, the most recent one last weekend. Still fine to me. I'm debating on picking up another bottle. They're shelf-turding at Hacienda right now for some crazy reason.

That's unfortunate to hear though, especially for those out of state that don't get to try their beers as often. I hate it when good IPA's go buttery.

EDIT: I just remembered 2.5 weeks isn't necessarily shelf-turfing but figured Beachwood IPA's would go a bit quicker.

I've had a couple of bottles and all have been fantastic. This has absolutely been one of the best batches and maybe the best batch

As I mentored before I think on here... had the newest batch with with Kern Citra and King Sue and Citraholic definitely wasn't last... sent a couple bottles out of state too and they loved them... gave them 4.5/5

    ^^^^
I will agree with what @UnknownKoger said. . . . .I started off with 3 bottles that were given to me. I gave one away and brought one bottle with me to Berlin on my trip to share with some UK buddies. Of the 6 bottles/cans I shared CitraHolic was the favorite with the UK mates. Yes even over TT & Pliny. What do they know. It was their first time drinking anything USA brewed IPA's. I thought it was one of the best batches. Opened the third bottle the night I got back from Brussels and it even tasted better after all that sours/lambic/etc.-crap. Went to TW the next day and was surprised to see a couple of cases of CitraHolic in the cooler. Grab some more bottles. Had one the other day and it was still tasting pretty good. Maybe not as good as day 1. But still worthy. Have 2 bottles left which will be consumed by the time Thrillseeker comes out next week.

Yeah, I was bummed because I sent my buddy a fresh Hop Tanker too and he really liked it. My first thought was "Wait til he gets into the Citraholic!".

Anyhow, Julian at BW has already reached out to me to get some details, so he's all over it.

A buddy of mine said there are BA Beachwood bottles a Whole Foods in Venice on Lincoln. You gotta ask someone for it because it isn't on the shelf. He didn't remember the name of the beer except that it is barrel aged.

I'm getting lunch at the Long Beach location on Wednesday. What beers are gonna probably be available that are must haves? Is there a good reason to check in at both locations?

If you want to drink Beachwood beers, then go to LB. Dude Looks Like an IPA(collab with stone) is really good. 8 Buffalo is worth trying. If Mocha Machine is on, definitely try that as well.
