I will leave you the Odd 13 and you leave me the Melvin. That is a fair deal.

Sorry, I assumed that when people post X beer is better than Y beer it was a given that they were posting their opinion. I'll make sure to start adding IMO to every post so as not to offend folks sensitivities about their favorite beers. Cheers!

    Not what I'm saying...

Saying that one beer is made with Quality ingedients vs another not is totally different than saying I prefer this beer.

For those looking to try Asterisk, it's on tap at the crafty fox (which happens to have a pretty killer beer list).

Thanks for the love @DenverBeerDrinker. I was actually going to say exactly what @MelvinBrewing_2x4 did. Codename, n00b, etc are in the $10-11 range for a 6 pack, but those are single IPAs. When we release double IPAs, they're in that same price range, but for a 4 pack. Can't put out a solid DIPA in a sixer for $10.

My point exactly...props on n00b and Superfan too, very tasty IPAs! Maybe we should do something for Collab Fest next year...Enter the 13 Chambers

@MelvinBrewing_2x4, on second thought, these people are thirsty. Maybe we should do something sooner.

Just polished off my second Asterisk at Thai Me Up and this beer keeps amazing me. I don't love Mosaic due to the slight oniony taste but man this is such a well executed beer it's crazy. So often a 9% 100+ IBU beer is either a malt bomb or a enamel burning astringent mess. This beer is bright and crisp with such a well hidden balanced malt/hop profile and alcohol that is totally hidden. I've had a few beers that had similar characteristics but they were all much lower alcohol and considerably lower IBUs. Yet another awesome beer from Melvin. Their IPAs deserve the same status as 3F, Trillium, TG, Alchemist, Treehouse, Surly, etc.

Also wanted to note that I had * at Backcountry Pizza today. Absolutely lived up to my high expectations. Crazy drinkable for 10%. I was out of town for the Melvin Dinner so I missed out on Mos Def, but this beer may be my second favorite after the all-time amazingness that was the Fresh Hopped 2x4 last September.

The recent influx of Melvin has been really top notch. Shaolin and Dready Copper were fantastic. 2x4 in cans will be tremendous (and worth $12 for 4 packs imo).

The B&B has/had Shaolin. While 2x4 is more tropical, that one is headed down the path of pure resin. Reminds me a lot of the elite IPAs from NM.

Whoops, didn't see your post. Hey, it's still on tap (or was as of yesterday), so that's something I guess.

Seriously, that's a great price and I can't wait. Also is 2x4 going to be year round?
