My 2/16 cans had zero carbonation in one four pack, great in a different 4 pack. 2/24 was incredible

I've had this happen with beer 45-60 days old, never less than a month. That said- still tasted fantastic!

If you are talking about suspension of 'stuff' that can happen with extremely young beer that has not yet settled (the brewery bottled/canned too early), or old beer in with the bottle conditioning yeast that has died.

Can anyone confirm if March cans have made it to SLP Costco?

Someone from Surly should really be on this forum talking about the Carb concerns.

I just had the 3/9 canning last night.

Todd the Axeman was one of my favorites of 2015. The 3/9 version wasn't good. I was disappointed. It was extremely malty compared to the juicy, delicious beer I had last year that I felt was as good as Hill Farmstead or Trillium.

I was away for a brief vacation and came back to about 10 Todd's left over and they were tasting a lot better. Still not quite the 6 to midnight reaction the first canning run gave me but not too far from it.

I just think the talk is Silly. I have enjoyed my Todd. But ever since the Abrasive carbonation issue with the new facility, it seems "carb issues" are always on the forefront. It would be nice to see Surly come and clear the air if you will.

I stopped in there on Saturday and the fridge was still loaded with just Furious and Overrated.

Last year's Abrasive carbonation issue was from the canning line at MSP. Todd The Axe Man is canned at BC. I don't know for sure, but it is my understanding that all TtAM since day 1 has been brewed and canned at BC. I worked FOH at the beer hall from opening date til mid summer and during that time I served many pours of TtAM. That beer has always had poor head retention (by design), so I wouldn't expect it to mysteriously be any better once it's canned. I've only had one can from 2016 so far (2/17), and although to me it wasn't as fantastic as many of the batches I've had in 2015, it's still a phenomenal beer. Carbonation was not the issue. Head retention and carbonation are different things, as I'm sure someone has already stated.

In town for a night and want to grab some Todd cans. Staying pretty close to the Whole Foods on Excelsior. Can I find cans there? Or thoughts on somewhere close? Looking forward to trying it for the first time. Thanks!

You should be able to find cans of Todd at pretty much any liquor store.

MGM Calhoun is right by that whole foods, expect to pay about 10% on most of their stuff. Otherwise Lunds and Byerlys and Top Ten Miracle Mile aren't too far from that area

Run down to Top Ten, they have LTDs Emily's Dream, a peach sour that is fantastic, plus they may have Apricot Vista by Shells as well. They have a great selection.
Plus, Chipolte is across the street if you want E Coli and if you do Park Nicollet Urgent care is right there... sounds like a full night.
