Agreed, especially since bottled Belgian beers are very common here.

[I hate the lack of multi-tiered quoting, I know why the Bros did it, it prevents the quote fests that people dont cut down, but two levels would be nice]

I also dislike the lack of multi-tiered quoting. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a standard reply for waitresses or bartenders who give me such a glass - "Are you f***ng kidding me?"

Did you miss the several mentions in this thread that not every glass is to be filled to the top? If you get what you ordered complaining just makes you ignorant.

doesn't take a genius to look at the size of the napkin, look at the size of the glass, and figure out that's a crap pour for a $9 delirium tremens. unless there's one with gold flakes i haven't heard about.

And not every belgian glass is supposed to be filled to the top? There's a bulletin.

How many oz of DT would you expect for a $9 pour in a craft beer bar? I'd expect (and have been served) about 10-12 oz. Since you seem to possess a calibrated bionic eye please tell us, how many oz of beer would you say are in that glass?

Head size is a compromise between aromatics and bite, in my humble opinion. More to your question, though, I don't think you got ripped off, as long as that head was at the rim of the glass when it was placed on that napkin.

I think the most unacceptable part is the patronizing way she started telling you about aromatics. My response may have been a bit less reserved than "oh yes ma'am, this IS my first beer."
