Sounds like fun, all we need now is to be on the distro list.

There's plenty of sensational single hop beers that aren't hop water or bitter bullets, why this would be phrased like this kinda surprises me. I don't how in the world single hop beers are any more of an issue than a hop blend. Session beers are a problem with the low malt bill to reduce the Abv, but in the 6-7 Abv range, and I would expect these FW beers to be excellent.

I apologize if my question has been answered/covered, but, does anyone have any indication of what hops are in the first release? I see they are numbering the different releases based on which hop they choose to focus on for dry hopping. I read that many of these hops dont' yet have names and are experimental. Will be cool to see which ones make it to larger production.

For Denverites: This is at the King Soopers in Glendale (I think they call it "Cherry Creek" but we know and they know it's Glendale) for a mere $8.99, i.e. marked down about a buck (I think. Or maybe it was just priced very reasonably to begin with.).

What's the hop featured? After just one, (consumed immediately after an Undercover Shutdown) I'm thinking it comes across like something Citra-esque mixed 50/50 with something Azacca- or Lemondrop-esque, at first blush. A lemon-ized tangerine. I agree it's light-bodied but I wouldn't call it "thin" or "hop water;" I'd call it a nice neutral and light backdrop for hop experimentation, personally. Or something to crush, all summer. Think I'll investigate further tonight--still have 4 after my wife snagged one.

Had it last weekend. They are pretty good. Especially for only 5%

Showed up at my favorite bottle shop in Missouri yesterday. I think they got some more a few weeks back, but they saved that case for a class about hops. Thursday night is their sample night, and it was enough for me to pick up a 6 pack. Just wish I could've gotten bottles to add to my collection.

Nose is awesome, all kinds of tropical fruits. Palate leaves much to be desired.

I dunno, I'd suggest trying it anyway. I gave it a fairly low rating based on my first can, but I've bought two more six packs since, and have really grown to enjoy it quite a lot. I've heard something similar from several other people—that their first impression was watery, but that subsequent tastings left a better impression.

The other option is to just buy some Union Jack (that is what I did); that beer is a 'complete picture' of a hoppy beer.

    Cheers!

BTW, I'm guessing the hops that are being used are all experimental hops without names.

Just got this from a buddy yesterday. Really enjoyed it. The nose burst out of the can. Very easy drinking IPA. Will definitely enjoy it many more times. Excited to see how the series evolves.

Fresh is key and that isn't always easy to get even two hours north of Paso Robles. Even given equally fresh bottles of both there are times I'd choose the LD as it's lighter, is less bitter and has less alcohol.

My favorite IPA is UJ and I've had a lot of luck lately finding it fresh in Chester County.

I'm four hours south of Firestone and their beers are usually 45-60 days old "fresh." It's rare that I find Union Jack or Double Jack within 30 days when I do I buy it. Last year I visited the brewery and took home some bottles of Union Jack and Double Jack, bottled eight days from the purchase date, very tasty.

Yah I'm about to shut down on FW on the east coast totally. Their product is totally lost in the shuffle of hundreds of beers here, FW beers r NEVER fresh.

It's a shame, I like FW beers but I'm not drinking stale stuff.
