I would scoff if this were any other brewery we were talking about... but seems legit!

At these releases what are the limits usually like?

Typical limits vary any where from 6 bottles to over a dozen, just depends on what's being released. If a beer like east bank, the low end or saison are released you can count on purchasing 4-6 of those. Fruited or hoppy stuff is usually lower limits, 1-3 bottles

If you get tickets, you can usually walk away with at least a 8-12 bottle boxfull per person. Some months where his flagship beers get released will have larger limits. Others months might feature a bunch of releases with only 1-2 bottle limits each. I don't think I've ever left without at least 8 bottles.

When I go to Casey I do it for the people watching, limits matter not.
Who cares about beer when you can see the droves of basement dwellers come out of their mother's house to pick up bottles to sell on the secondary market? I know it's made my experience almost every time...

But really, bring your wallet. Limits or not, you will spend far more money than anticipated. If not at Casey, you will in the valley because Glenwood is awesome and shit. I hear Saison is going to be pretty plentiful....

Tickets for the 4/2 release were opened back up, I can't believe they have been available for a couple hours now...

I just happened to plan a CO trip long ago, and luckily the April 2 release is happening during it. I'd love to hear any suggestions for things to do while in Glenwood, or en route from Denver, that I shouldn't miss this weekend. I'll be driving to Casey from Loveland, looking to arrive right at 11 AM, and heading back in the afternoon.

    ISO: Bang. FT: Buck.

Long shot here, but if anyone is not planning to buy their full allotment of Casey stuff, let me know. I'd like to maximize this experience, which I view as kind of a lucky, once in a lifetime thing, from a bottle standpoint.

I would love to trade for a couple bottles of Casey... I am just outside of Portland and have a large cellar of de Garde and a lot of other WA and OR beers. Anybody with access have any interest??

Leave Loveland far earlier than 11am. Hike up to Hanging Lake on the way to Glenwood. Chill out in the hot springs. Hit Roaring Fork Beer Co in Carbondale for more beers.

In all honesty, it's going to be a loooong day in the car for you driving from Loveland and back in the same day. There will be ski traffic along I70 peaking between 7:00-10:00. If I were you, I'd leave Loveland by 5:00 am and get to Glenwood early. Grab some breakfast in town before going to Casey. If you're up for it on the way back, there are some cool places to stop for a beer, my suggestion would be Cannonball Creek in Golden or Westbound and Down and/or Tommyknocker in Idaho Springs. Have fun!

Been a while since I went up to Casey. What time does ski traffic generally dissipate on Saturdays? Or is it an all day thing?

I usually check cotrip before I travel any of the interstates. Select "speeds" under interactive maps. There will be announcements/alerts at the top of the home page that may be helpful too.

This! Leave early and hang out in one of the bubble massage chairs in the hot springs pool until the release starts!

But be aware, there's construction that's closed down the typically massive parking lot for the Hot Springs pool. This was posted regarding the closure in February, but I just called the pool and the instructions they have outlined here are still in effect for this Saturday. I left early to do this same thing last release, but wasn't prepared for the parking issues at the pool, so I nixed the pool, got to Casey early, and avoided the parking issues at the brewery.

Sheesh lucky them. I was one of the 300 who got picked via email but life happened and I wasn't able to make the drive up from the Springs to get my bottle so I lost it. Such is life.
