I see only two exciting beers on here. Ghost in the Machine and BBA Expedition Stout. Am I missing anything?

The Savor beer list is a flop. Can we just use this thread to discuss all the great events happening elsewhere the week of Savor?

While I agree, the beer list may not blow anyone away, if you attend and like IPAs, make sure to get the Melvin 2x4. It is world class.

Crux Tough Love is great, but what a weak list. Country Boy is strong.

The one highlight of Savor NYC was talking to the Crux rep for 15 minutes... as we were walking out she tapped me on the shoulder and gave me this Crux coozie type of glass you can drink out of. Small things like that make a brewery stand out. I have a bottle of Tough Love that's been sitting in my fridge for a couple months simply because I don't have a wine opener for the cork

Hoping to make it to one of the events during Savor week...anyone willing to let my father and I crash at their spot?

Wow that savor list is nauseatingly boring. I guess they have Abyss Rye in addition to the BBA Expedition but that's nothing to freak out over. Do they do the same stuff as Snallygaster where they bring a mini-keg of the whales just for marketing purposes or do they usually have a reasonable amount?

In for the events leading up to SAVOR. The Funky Buddha/Cigar City tap takeover at Churchkey last year was awesome!

Each brewery is told how much beer to bring in for the event, I believe it's 1 sixtel of about the equivalent in bottles. So about 320 2oz pours available of each beer. So the whales and the pilsners will have equal amounts. I believe there are about 2000 tickets per night.

That being said, Surly ran out of Darkness super
early last year. I'd recommend front-loading your whales.

CCB, Funky Buddha, 4 Hands, and Surly were done pouring about an hour and a half into the fest starting for the Saturday nite event. As in, they packed up and left. Hardywood was still pouring Foolery all the way to the end, same with FATE and the beers they brought.

List is disappointing, @Iamjeff6 we won't be going this year, at least I'm not planning on going.

Who said I wanted to go with you anyways? After I saw the list yesterday of beers I didn't even think about it again.

Do breweries not pouring at Savor still come in town to hold events? Is there any chance that the events will be weak this year since the brewery lineup is weak?

I like Sierra Nevada as a brewery, but these two beers are so easy to find what is the excitement in bringing them?

    Sierra Nevada Brewing Company
    Otra Vez (Gose)
    Hop Hunter (IPA)
