Hunahpu Day 2016

That guava beer was incredible.

Sahtipaja and Wrecking Bar were two others that really impressed me.

 

Beet Berliner. Damn. Just needed some pistachios, goat cheese and arugula and I could've parked there all afternoon.

 

Oh, Põhjala too. Never would've guessed there was a world-class brewery in Estonia.

 

I checked it out just to see what beers are like in Estonia - I was thoroughly impressed!

 

And their brewer was such a nice guy! I was way too wasted at that point for him to entertain a conversation with me, and he was still really cool. Great beers and great visual identity as well.

 

Was curious... Me and a buddy @Mugsbat picked up our 12 bottle allotment at about 3pm on Huna day. Neither one of us received bottle bags in our box. How about you guys?

I posted this on the El Cat FB page and its seems that it was hit or miss on who got bags and who did not. Hell one guy said he got like 5 bags just stuffed in his box. Not bitching about a couple of $2 bags but they do make great extras in Bif boxes and trades.

 

I got 2 bags in my box

 

wife and I were both "bagless" in our two boxes.

 

I had an 8 bottle wrist band. I had a box with one bag with 6 jammed in it and 2 others just thrown in the box.

 

Picked up 8 bottles in a box. Had 1 bag in the box.

 

There were 4 of us. Each of us had 8 bottle tickets and we got 8 bags. All 32 of our bottles came in bags of 4. Some of the bags w/bottles were in boxes but the rest of the bags w/bottles we just had to carry ourselves.

 

Think it depends when you picked up your beer...the earlier you went the more likely you got bags...I had the 8 bottle option and I picked up my bottles around 2 and I was given my bottles in 2 bags..no boxes at all

 

A group of us grab our bottles right at 1pm and we each got 1 bag a piece. Our bottle allotments were 12, 8, 8, and 8.

how about we discuss the scumbags who left empty boxes in the hotel lobby after he/she put the bottles in the bags.

 

I got 12 bottles and they put each one in its own individual bag. #bagsfordays #ISO:FT

 

That's it?! Hahahaha!! Chump. They individually double-bagged my bottles and had 12 employees carry one double-bagged bottle apiece to my car.

 

I got my 4 bottles and got them home. I looked around today for a bag or box, but found a sticky plastic snifter instead. I'm glad I looked, the snifter smelled pretty bad. I wonder how the trolley smelled, and hope I didn't pee in a potted plant at the Maryotte'. But they played baseball in Cuba today. Viva cerveza fria.

 

In hindsight, I'm sort of glad I didn't get robbed as I walked carrying my box the few blocks back to the Sheraton.
I did get a few comments/catcalls about people really liking my box.
