BA Sexual Chocolate

Not quite like always (namely regular SC this year).

 

I'm glad to hear the details ... sounds more like ORF last year, which was probably my favorite release so far. Never was big on pounding huge amounts of beer before 8am and being worse for wear the rest of the day. I actually made/drank French press coffee in line at ORF, then drank a bit of beer once inside.

 

Just booked my hotel, what time does the party start on Fri?

 

Let me know if you bring that coffee. I'd love some. Looking forward to this. I'm going to hit the party the night before. Now what to bring? Got some boulevard stuff to share. There's a start....

 

Not sure I'll hit up the Friday party, but will definitely be in line Saturday morning.

 

I'm thinking about going the night before ... still not sure. Will most likely bring the French press again this year. May bring enough for more than just one pot!

 

I'll do my best. I'm bringing a growler of something special that an awesome friend and BA (you know who you are) is just giving me to share. Probably also have a couple empties that I want to fill with Jade varieties. Maybe I'll fill a growler or two with fresh water to make coffee, then they'll be good and clean to refill with beer!

 

Going to make it over for the first time in a couple years....with two kids under 14 months it's not as easy as it used to be. Sounds like things have gotten a little more crowded than in the past. Looking to do some in person trading as i'm trying to put together a wedding gift for my best friend (who got me into craft beer about 8 years ago).

 

I'm bringing a decent amount of Alewerks BB Porter to trade(+ some others little gems). Do people trade in line?

 

They have in the past (or at least I have), so I don't imagine this year would be any different. I think it is more the drinking in line that has changed from years past.

 

Yes, trading in line should not be a problem. As mentioned on the post just above, its the consumption that can be an issue.

 

Would someone in the know please post what the situation is going to be like...

Is social line drinking going to be allowed till 5 or 6, not at all, allowed again period, allowed inside after the doors open...

I know i am not the only one who is wondering.

God I sound like a drunk I just have some good bottles to share again and enjoyed the time in years past.
( I know there is a Friday bottle share, but coming out of state I can never make it )

 

If it's like the last release, drinking in line will be allowed til around 5 or 6. The doors will open at 8, at this point everyone will be allowed to come in and sit down to bottle share and order beers on draft. BASC bottles will go on sale at 10

Unless they upped the price this year, I'm pretty sure it's $15/bottle. ORF is $20

 

Saw on their Facebook page last night that it was going to be 20 bucks, so I guess they did raise the price this year.
