someone asked them on twitter if it was a "straight up stout or more to it?" and they replied that it would be "fairly straight up"

TG needs a straight up stout that is available without giving up your first born. I am thinking something with the availability of FBS or Ten Fidy.

I wonder how many disappointed traders are going to be out there once they realize their trade seeks of the generic "TG stouts" actually start to happen?

I don't doubt they would happen. Just looking for something that isn't nearly as limited. That may not be possible with TG though as they use a ton of high quality ingredients in their stouts, save for Rover Truck.

No tension, I wrote the article. I had each of them answer separately.

Why is there not more excitement over VB Assassin? They have so many releases coming up I'm excited to see what direction things take. We know that Assassin + variants are coming, we know KBBS is coming, and we know they brew MD every year for Great Taste.

They could do one big release with all the beers - akin to the first KBBS release if I'm not mistaken - KBBS and MD in bottles (Assassin too?) and they had everything on tap but that would be insane at the current taproom. They could also do silent releases of each separately which I would think would be the easiest. Or we could see online signups, email registrations, tweets to decipher scavenger hunt style, etc.

    Fun times!

whatever makes you feel good buddy. I'm stating my thoughts on their ipas and neither my friends nor I were impressed after trying a flight of their beers. I have no problems with my opinion as I have a very good base for comparison having had some of the best breweries in the states.

everyone has to start somewhere, and what better way to start by enjoying ipas from some of the most touted breweries in the country. Using available resources and a list of great breweries and trying them out yourself seems like a pretty damn good way to me when I started out years back. I'd rather have tasted the th, hf, kern, trillium and then have a better base of comparison and perspective vs others claiming how great PR is having never ventured out beyond what's local.

PR is medicore, and let me know when people start blowing up trade forums requesting HF for PR.

Because they are going to be impossible to get, so keeping excitement/expectations low is the best way to go until you actually have a chance to get a bottle.

Idk, their last two stout releases weren't necessarily impossible. SR71 lasted a day and a half and MD you just had to sign up via email. I was able to get multiple bottles of each, fairly easily.

Ah, yes beer is only good if it trades for HF. Silly me I forgot.

I stopped at Pulpit on Monday and had the Pour Over Porter and brought home a growler of the IPA. I think the best way to settle this debate is for @holzwama and I to drink the growler and give a final decision on the quality of these brews.

Year before KBBS release they did MD with Assassin, KBBS was by itself (did have bottles of PS available). Sadly it was the last small release they will prob ever do without tickets and what not.

Is there a time frame on these releases? Obviously nothing official but can they be narrowed down to a season or month?
