I had this on tap at Haymarket and I thought it was spectacular. Haven't looked for it on shelves though

I was at a small liquor store in Plano yesterday afternoon, and literally watched the Windy City Distrbi delivery guy carry a case into the store. My point is that the distributor for western burbs is delivering these brews as I type this.

Picked one up last week and loved it. Found another bottle today and didn't hesitate to pick it up. Makes me want to ISO a full blooded Alpine IPA

finally tried it, thought it was pretty shitty, boozy and tasted like artificial sugar cookies/vanilla frosting.

So did most of the people in SD when I went to the brewery and had it on tap. Personally, I liked it, but most of the Alpine regulars weren't huge fans.

I still haven't seen it here. Indiana seems to be about 4 releases behind.

Really did not enjoy this one, took a long time for me to finish the bomber. Way too prominent of an onion garlic flavor up front. That is the one aspect of certain IPAs that I just cannot get past.

My local shop finally got some in last week. I really liked it. Incredible aroma. Its gotta be about a month and a half old by now though. Wish I couldve tried it when it was really fresh. If wasnt ~$9 for a bomber Id probably get some more.

That may be your perception but I have had this beer twice with different groups of people and most of them picked up on the onion/garlic/scallion note. Some really liked it, others (including me) did not. There are plenty of reviews that mention onion as well.

I didn't get any onion/garlic when I tried it. Thought it was good. Not the greatest ever, but solid.

interesting, guess I need to look at the reviews, I still can't see how you can get those smells out of it though, all I smell is pure orange goodness :grinning:

I found it to be a boozy mess, even at the low price point I wouldnt purchase it again.

I didn't see it as overly good. Better colder I would say with this one. Had some offputting flavors as it got warm. But, as mentioned above, I'm spoiled by Nelson, Expo, Duet....anything from Alpine.
