I'm more than a bit disappointed about that too.

    Seriously?
One of the best Rye IPAs out there and my favorite IPA in the whole Great Lakes line.

Just sent an e-mail telling them they need to return it to the calendar.

    I'm with you.

Then again, I've never liked Chillwave, so I think I'm fairly atypical in terms of my GLBC IPA preferences.

Alberta Clipper was pretty good last year, will probably give that variety pack a try as well.

How is Turntable Pils going to differ from The Wright Pils in years past?

Yeah, no Rye of the Tiger is a bummer. I guess they feel they need to put out a session IPA to keep up with everyone else, but that doesn't excite me much...not that they should care.

Is Chillwave a little later this year? I thought it was Feb or March last year. Doesn't matter...I'll buy my share whenever it's available.

Rye of the Tiger is their best beer. Bad decision to discontinue it.

I can live w/o Rye of the Tiger. It was good but nothing I absolutely had to have.

I'm kind of pumped to see what Turntable Pils tastes like. My only gripe is that it's an April release....I wish it a summer month, when Pils taste better while I'm mowing the lawn or grilling.

Yep, looks like it's a few weeks later this year, it was available early/mid March for my area in 2015.

Should have at least included the Rye of the Tiger in the Fridge Filler.
Here's hoping one of my local shops busts open a couple of these variety packs and sells them as singles.
I'd like to try the two IPAs without buying 10 other beers.

Sadness about Rye, I'm surprised they'd mess with a sure thing. But it seems they are changing things up variety wise. The spring mixer shake up was nice, I would have preferred the pils in the mixer & the session left as a stand alone like last years Sharpshooter. I liked the Sharpshooter but I don't think it went down too well it seemed to linger awhile in the stores especially the 12s. Last year's spring mixer I like the Truth, Justice & the American Ale but the High Striker was a no for me glad to see out of the mix. As I said I would have added the pils to the mixer & left the session as the stand alone as it seems to be the trend w/most brewers lately to have a stand alone session IPA for mass consumption.
It will be interesting to try the Turntable pils, I've missed the seasonal Wright Pils. I will say also that GL is one of the few brewers that retire things(or become pub only) that I really miss like say Glockenspiel:slight_frown:

Does anyone remember great lakes grassroots ale?

What an odd beer, it's been a long time, but all I can remember is it tasted like I was drinking liquid grass. Did anyone enjoy this? Was I missing something? I only saw it brewed once.

Welp considering all I drink from GLBC is Chillwave and Rye of the Tiger with an occasional other 4 or 6 thrown in this is dissapointing.

I actually liked it at first, but then it sort of smelled like fart to me the more I drank it. I loved when they bottled Glockenspiel, though.

Ahhhhhh...Chillwave. Super excited for this beer. It has officially become my favorite sweet, honey malt DIPA. Personally I prefer this one over Hopslam and considering it doesn't have near the hype, I know that I'm going to have access to several 4 packs. April is gonna he's good month for me!!!!

Chillwave is an unbelievable brew. It's so good I almost can't drink it as I am heartbroken when it's gone. Hands down best DIPA ever to grace this palate. Nothing even comes close except some batches of Enjoy By.

Anyone had the Pilsner? I don't think I wanna go for a six pack, but haven't cared to find a single. Chillwave is good as always.
