That link doesn't seem to work, but I googled it and found some articles. Thanks for sharing the news.

Looks like AB-INBev is going to take on Constellation Brands and Corona. That might be fun to watch.

Nevermind that the growth in craft is roughly the same as Mexican imports....

“The maker of Budweiser and Goose Island on Monday said it plans to debut the beer, which is already an established brand in Mexico, across 10 U.S. states in March, with Spanish-language advertising on TV, print, and digital channels.”

“As Fortune has reported, the strategy is similar to how rivals have launched their beers. They’d often debut Spanish-language ads to win over consumers who are already familiar with the brands, before going on to launch ads in English to appeal to a broader consumer base. Often distribution is focused on states with larger Hispanic populations, like California and Texas.”

It is an established brand in Mexico. There are a number of reasons to "pass" on this beer but I would suggest the name is lower on that list.

    Cheers!

I'd gladly drink one next time I'm at a Mexican restaurant. Not gonna be a regular thing for me but I'll give it a try

This is the second attempt by AB-InBev to replace Corona* in their US portfolio, they started bringing Montejo in in 2014.
Anheuser-Busch Will Begin Importing Mexican Beer Montejo

And they did a similar move after InBev lost Labatt brand in the US.
Anheuser-Busch Adds Kokanee and Alexander Keith’s to Import Portfolio
    which didn't prove very successful.

    * Granted, by the 1990s AB owned half of Grupo Modelo but
never really incorporated the brand into their Import Brands Alliance division or their wholesaler network.

I thought ABI bought up Modelo recently, did I hallucinate that? And they had to sell distro rights to Constellation?

    ....*looks around for the Tylenol*

The only Mexican-born actress I've heard of is Selma Hayak. Is Estrella Jalisco Mexican? If so, she must be an up and coming starlet from the area where Tequila is produced. Too bad I don't pay attention to the gossip shows.

Not my favorite category, but to not try is to deny yourself the possibility of discovery.
