Got two but it was a bitch. Last year we got ours like halfway through October and only the morning session was sold out. Last year the longest line we had to wait in was like 5 minutes, so I'm hoping the venue change doesn't mean we have to wait half an hour for each pour.

Last year they walked through a line with a list of every attendees name and checked ID's. I'm guessing that list will include the individual's names vs. just the purchasers names...or at least lets hope!

That is correct, but confirmation # is different so it's a unique identifyer. Looking forward to attending my 1st FOBAB.

I used the same credit card twice, just entered different attendee names for me and the Mrs.

Is there a major difference between the late and early sessions?

it's not sold out yet. available tickets keep popping up as people don't finish the transaction. basically tickets are going into carts, not being purchased, but seen as unavailable and then are becoming available again.

also the limit is now 8 tickets per transaction.

I called after session 1 sold out and they changed my ticket to 6pm and they added one more for my wife....in. Easy process , just can't believe session 1 sold out and I originally got the last one. One more out there for a lucky soul!

Got tickets also, and had the same thing come up with the printed tickets. It says my name on both as the purchaser, even though I listed the attendee as the woman's and mine. Should be fine though.

session 1 is still not sold out as I was able to put 8 tickets into my cart.

also those people freaking out about putting the same name on multiple tickets you are fine. I asked the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild on twitter about having the same name on multiple tickets and they said it's fine. we all have a unique confirmation code under the bar code on the printed ticket. that's how they will confirm at the door.

ie i could go in now and place an order for 8 tickets and all 8 would have my name. that's fine.

Not really. They run out of the some of the big winners from the first session early, but there's supposed to be an equal amount of everything provided for both sessions (although it's not always exact).

I prefer the late session since FOBAB pretty much wipes me out for anything afterwards. If I were to do the day session, my night would pretty much be me sleeping off copious amount of barrel aged beer.

I was able to get tickets for the 1:00 session for myself and a friend of mine. I also talked the wife into tagging along as our driver.

Does anyone know if the DD ticket will still get a sampling glass...for souvenior purposes of course?

I called Brown Paper Tickets and they said that you are fine. The purchaser's name will still show on the tickets, but those tickets are still tied to the information (different person) that was entered when purchased.

I take back the earlier comment - what a great way to run the on-sale. 1 ticket limit for the original onslaught and then increase the quantities to purchase thereafter. This is a great model to follow for future on-sales. Very well done.

OR someone at BPT just screwed something up when they initially went on sale and the people at ICBG contacted them to correct it...

I have no inside knowledge either way - just a guess...

Definitely unique, and frankly, quite brilliant. Cheers to the IL Brewers Guild for their innovative strategy!

I think I like it. Although I haven't heard from my friends so no idea if they also got in the afternoon session.
