Other Half Brewing Thread (March 2016)

Not that mad I won't be able to make this release. Seems like it's gonna be pretty crazy. Just hoping I can score some ACE on tap somewhere over the next week or two. Fingers crossed.

 

Not sure if he was serious, but you're probably fine if you get there at 9. The only release that wouldn't have worked was Street Green, and I have trouble seeing this being quite that bad. You will have to wait a long time though, especially with four options, as I'm sure you probably know if you've followed this thread.

 

2015 Rum barrel aged In Absentia Luci Imperial Stout(11%). 4 bottles per person, $18 a bottle. On sale at 10am

 

Cant they release something during the week? Just once and a while. Would love to walk the few blocks on a Wednesday or Thursday and grab and go rather than wait 3 hours every other Saturday.

 

i miss other half weekday releases...honestly no clue why they stopped doing them, theyre going to sell out of their cans either way what difference does it make what day they release it...if anything it give locals the opportunity to get some beer without standing in line for 3 hours the same locals that supported them in their wee early months before can releases

 

I think a lot of it has to do with fridge/cooler space for them.

 

Love the Red Wine Barrel Aged In Absentia but $18 for 16.9 oz for Rum Barrel Aged? I got 32oz growler fill of Red Wine for $20 last year. They have priced me out. Good luck to all at the shit-show Saturday. Can't wait to read the comments.

Yup I'm prepared for a couple hour wait. . . just gonna bring my camp chair and Kindle. I wouldn't bother but I was planning on hitting up Epaulet and maybe finding a Warby Parker afterwards (suggestions, anyone? I figured the Ave of Americas location would be best from OH)

 

Well it looks like I am now getting other half release sponsored ads on Facebook. Do they really pay FB for additional ads?

Does anyone think this release will be back to chaos and sold out beer before 1?

 

Haha, just saw the same thing on mine. Guess they weren't satisfied with 4 hour lines.

No. But that's only because the line doesn't move quickly enough to sell out by 1. However, you'll likely have to be in line before 1 if you want ACE. Green Diamonds and (ugh) Forever Ever might stick around longer.

 

Rye, Rum, American and Malt In Absentia were all really good. I'm going to guess not many people reading this thread these days were there when they were tapped though.

 

That day was awesome. Got their about 1 I beiieve and was able to try them all and it wasn't even crowded.

 

I wondered the same thing yesterday. Is that necessary?

 

Tbh it's the first time I've noticed anything like that. It's usually random products.
